Dads Day

Good morning and yet another GOOD day to wake up to blue skies.  I cant believe the difference in folk when they wake up to sunshine each day.  Again not everyone likes the heat of the day but it does put a smile on most folks faces.  I enjoy it and I know I have got this for the next 5 - 6 weeks too, lucky me.

I am not the best with technology.  I must admit that I get confused by it all and dont understand the jargon but for the rest of the year I am going to be learning all about different things computer/technology wise.  I am challenging myself to not to ask Paul 'can you just do this' and learn how to do it myself.  Wish me luck.

Here is the card that I made for my dad for Fathers Day.

Something a little different and he liked it.  I enjoyed doing it and learnt a few things too, which is always good. Dad is difficult to buy for, he has everything that he needs so it was a big tub of grapes, a cucumber grown in the greenhouse and a t-shirt for his gardening. He was really pleased and it just goes to show, it is the smallest things that mean the most.

I have a very busy day today and fingers are crossed (only a figure of speech) that I can drive, we have to go to the Royal Hospital, the Chemist and into town.  We were going to go yesterday but my hip hurt so much and I couldnt walk never mind about drive but after a late start to the day, we shall see how we get on.

Lots of new and exciting things happening with Stampin' Up! next week and I can tell you more about that over the weekend.

Wishing you a wonderful day, thanks for having a read Tracey x

Thank You cards

Good evening and I do hope you have had a good weekend.  What lovely weather we have today, if you like hot weather that is. I know that one or two dont enjoy this but at the moment, I can cope.

It is with a sad heart that I had to cancel the Saturday morning get together.  So many people dropped out one by one that I couldnt do it.  Fingers crossed that next month it will be able to go ahead.  We do have another get together this Friday night and there is one place available so, if you fancy an evening of crafting, making a couple of cards and a tag, lots of cake, brilliant company and lots of laughter please, do get in touch.

Here are my thank you cards for this month.

It is a smashing kit that is well worth the money and what fun I had putting it all together.

We have had a few bad days health wise but hopefully things are starting to look up.  I attempted to drive this morning as we were at the docs for Christiana and I am really pleased to say that I was okay.  Life would be a lot easier with an automatic car and I cant believe that I am still being given the run around by Fiat.  Hopefully the car will be here in August and life will be easier.

Thank you for having a read, I hope to be in my craft room this evening where I shall look for my mojo.  Enjoy your evening, Tracey x

Animal Outing

Good morning and it really is a good morning.  We have blue skies, a few fluffy clouds and a bit of a breeze, let us hope it stays like this.

As promised here is another card made with the Animal Outing stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Along with a bit of a close up.
The Happy Birthday sentiment was used from the Very Vintage Hostess Stamp Set and it just looked perfect from with the stamp.  He was stamped on to Shimmery Card with Stazon Ink.  This way when he is coloured the ink will not run onto your image when it meets with water.  Colouring in was with an Aqua Painter and a scribble of the Stampin Write pens onto a board.  You just wet the tip of your brush, gather a little paint and colour him in.  This is Ryan the Rino, we have named the whole set.  It is a great investment and can be used to create cards for all ages.

I had another dressing change yesterday and we still have a few months of doing this.  The skin underneath the damage is healthy so that is a good sign.  I am off to the TB doc in the morning to make sure that the last couple of months of medication has started to work, I will let you know how I get on.

Fancy a craft class this evening?  There is a space available.  This is on a first come first served basis as it has been advertised in a few places.

Right then, I had best go and make sure the craft room looks good for this evening.  Thanks for having a read an I hope you have a lovely day.  Tracey x

Catching Up

Good morning and whilst it is a bit cloudy outside, the temperature is still rather warm.  I believe a muggy day is on the cards for today, which is fine by me.  A little rain will help as that will mean that I dont have to water the garden (a 40 minute task). Having said that, watering the garden is a little me time as I do think things over and I can also see all the new little shoots in the garden.

What a super duper weekend we have just had.  Saturday was smashing.  Lots and lots of visitors made it through the doors of The Craft Room and we had a wonderful day.  Crafty bingo was a success.  The makes and takes were done with Sally, Julie, Diane and Wendy lending a hand *quick wave* thank you so much ladies, I couldnt have managed the day without you.  The raffle prize has yet to be claimed.

If you have this ticket please please do get in touch.  Lots of lovelies inside this bag.

Sunday was a day of rest, really it was.  We had a lie in, a visit to mum and dads for fathers day and a lovely visit from Rob, Nat and the girls to see Paul.  The day flew by and of course, it ended with a viewing of Poldark (I am hooked).

Yesterday was a sad day.  We said goodbye to my aunt, the sister of my aunt that passed away at the end of last year.  It was nice to see the family but not under such circumstances. I have lots of happy memories of her, something to treasure.

Yesterday was also the birthday of my neices son, Ollie
This is a variation of one of the makes and takes from Saturday.  The Animal Outing stamp set is great.  I will be having a week of sharing cards made with this set with you, it is just so lovely.

A little order shall be placed later on today with Stampin' Up!  If there is anything that you would like from Stampin' Up! please do get in touch and I shall be happy to add it to this little one.  The p+p is 50p and you can collect from Alvaston as soon as it arrives.

Ohh before I go THURSDAY 21st JUNE, there is a place available on the crafty night.  If you would like to come along to make a couple of cards and spend the evening with like minded folk do get in touch.

Well I have lots of emails to reply to, messages to answer, a craft room to find, an ironing pile as big as a hill and a daughter who wants company all day long so as you can imagine, it is going to be a busy one.  Thank you for having a read and I wish you a lovely day x

Baby Shower

Good morning and it is a blustery one here today.  Those gusts really are powerful, I guess it is Fence Watch again.  We really must replace them.

I have been busy making a few boxes for a baby shower.

I enjoyed making these and Stampin' Up! had all that I needed, even a couple of retired items were used.  Products used are at the end of the post.  I dont know how I would have managed without the trimmer as the scoring on this makes life so much easier.

I have a few items arriving today whoop whoop for my open day on Saturday (I was naughty and treated myself).  Please do come along if you have time on Saturday, it really would be lovely to see you.  If you dont know where the venue is, do get in touch so that I can give you details.

Right, off to prepare the makes and takes for Saturday.  Thanks for having a ready and wishing you a lovely day.....hold on to your hats x

Ay Up Mi Duck Race and the Stamperatus

Good morning, cloudy this morning but still nice and warm.  I was up with the larks or even before them but I think it is excitement.  I am saying I am excited because hubby is due home today but it could be the thought of the new kitchen floor or a day in the craft room but whatever it is, I am up and rearing to go.

Christiana got on very well at the hospital yesterday and passed the flight tests which is great news.  Not so good in the evening though as her cough attack has given her new pains.  Lets just hope we get to see the physiotherapist about this as soon as possible.  The appointment was in 3 months time but I have managed to get one at the end of the month yet I am still calling every couple of days to see if they have a cancellation.

This Saturday is an open house from 10 - 3.00pm  The Craft Room will be open with drinks and cakes and lots of crafty chatter, laughter, makes and takes and catching up.  I have a group of lovely ladies who will be doing the demonstrating and it really would be lovely to see you, if you can make it.  You are most welcome to spend the day too.

The Stampin' Up! Stamperatus is here and wow, it is such an impressive piece of kit.  I know it is an investment but once you start using it, you dont stop.  Here is a video about it.

I shall have this out on Saturday at the Open House/Catalogue Launch, please feel free to ask me about it and I can show you what it does.

Christiana and I spent a few hours at the Ay Up Mi Duck race on Saturday and here are a few photos.

You cant really tell that there were 100's of ducks in the Derwent but it was fun.  We had a lovely time, it was nice to be out and about and get some fresh air.

Thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely day.
