DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY ONE - Belated Birthday

Good morning.

We have quite a busy day today, one which I have been looking forward to for a few weeks.  I hope to get hugs from one of my daughters this evening and tomorrow get more hugs and cuddles from my other daughter and grandson or it could be the other way round.

I do love a travel day as we do make it a whole day, lunch out, a good read, crosswords from the newspaper and of course catching up on the ipad.

One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator with todays technology is that I can continue with everything no matter where I am.  Emails can be sent and received, the blog gets updated and apart from the in person get togethers, everything goes ahead as normal.

I do miss my crafting time but hopefully I can learn something new whilst I am away.  I certainly dont sit down and relax too much although I have lots of books loaded on my kindle.  Unfortunately Rhuematoid Arthritis put paid to me purchasing books, holding them to read and turning pages.  My hands cant do that anymore but the lightweight kindles are wonderful.  Who would know that I am walking around with over 30 books in my handbag and I can read them anywhere.  Oh I do love technology.

Here is a card that was made and sent out to a friend that recently celebrated her birthday but was on holiday at the time.  Fingers crossed she is home now and that the postman has delivered it.

Thank you for having a read,  Tracey x

Tuesday

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY

Good morning.  I do hope you had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend.  For me it flew by but was most enjoyable.  Spent lots of time with the family.

Today I am off to meet the crafting ladies at a local, independant, garden center with a cafe that does amazing food and cakes.  We hope to have a good catch up and it would be rude not to try one of the cakes.

I dont know if you know but I help fun a local crafting club called Derby Dabblers.  We have our own facebook group if you wanted to look to see what we get up to. Anyway, we always have a game of bingo half way therough our meetup and hubby has very kindly made us some bingo boards to lean on.  He even put the name on the back of them.

It is the little things that make the difference.

We have another get to together this Friday evening and you are very welcome to pop along and join us, the more the merrier.  The bingo is free for 3 tickets and just 50p if you wanted a strip of 6 tickets.  Lots of crafty prizes in the box should you be lucky enough to win a line or a full house.

Today I have another Adventurous Journey card to share with you.  This time the card was created by Sally at a recent get together we had

My photography skills have never been the best but love the card.   Sally has used the stamp set, the dies and some of the wonderful Designer Series Paper which is on offer this month.

I cant believe that not one but four of my nails have broken, all on the same day, just before we go on a holiday so this morning I have put OPI Nail Envy on them  (pink to envy) in the hopes that it will protect them for a few days.  It also gives them a little bit of colour.  I do struggle with my nails largly because of the injections I put in most weeks.  It has a negative effect on my nails and I cant have acrylics put on as nothing stays put.  On the positive side, I shall have some time to look after then a bit more whilst away.

Well I had best go and get ready for my day, 101 things on the to do list and I am sure that I will find a few more that I forgot to add.  Have a terrific Tuesday and thank you for having a read.  Tracey x

Monday

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY NINE Bank holiday Monday

Good morning.  It is a Bank Holiday for us in the UK.  Not too sure what our plans are for today but we most certainly wont be doing too much.  The weather is forecast to be dry which is good .  Certainly will be spending some time with Hubby.

I have 14 birthdays and Anniversaries over the next eight weeks so I plan on writting all the cards and getting stamps for them so that they are organised.  I do hope I am not the only one who does this.  I really do struggle with last minute things at the moment.

Good news about my Lymphadrma in my legs.  Since I got cellulitus and was put on two courses of antibiotics and some cream, they have improved and come on in leaps and bounds.  I am trying my best to keep them rested as and when I can (horizontal on bed)  long may it continue. The discolouration and redness is still there but the size of them is nearly normal.

I am still working my way through the photos which will take me many months.  I now have 32443 but this will be put on hold for a few weeks.  Well it isnt going anywhere so I will pick it up again at the end of October.

Here is a rather unusual card for me.  I have used the Adventurous Skies bundle (stamp set and dies).

i really loved having a play with this.  I first ran some damp Basic White card through the big shot (I spritzed water on it using the Stampin' Up! Sprays), which was inside one of the set of three Basic 3D embossing folders.   I used Boho Blue ink on a blending brush and coloured in the center of the card.

The three airplanes that are in the stamp set were stamped as well as some clouds using Memento ink.  I coloured the planes and the clouds in with Stampin' Up! Blend Pens and then ran them through the big shot to cut them out with the co-ordinating dies, it was so easy.

The hardest bit was wondering where to place everything on the card, how silly am I?  Do you have a similar issue of not sure where to place things?  I eventually stuck them down with a mixture of glue so that they were flat on the card and then raised with 3D foam pads/dimensionals.  I am so pleased with how it turned out and it is one of those cards without a sentiment.  I am not sure who the card is for so I will add a sentiment to the top of the card when I need to.

A full list of all the products I used is at the end of this post.

Thank you so much for having a read today.  Hoping you have a great Bank Holiday Monday.  Tracey x
