More pictures on their way

Sorry for not posting any new pictures....technology has beaten me. I am hoping normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

But, it has given me chance to catch up with all those horrid little jobs that I keep putting off, paperwork, filing as well as answering all the e-mails that have been sitting there.

I have also started all the preperations for the Workshop on November 8th. There are a couple of places left if you are free for an afternoon. More details can be found on the right hand side of this blog.

Will be finalising the ribbon share and the Club 8, it was to be a 10 but I believe that there are 8 ladies out there that have been patiently waiting........if there are any more that would like to join this, just let me know.

I would love to do a paper share but, I am a little unsure if my cutters would cut a 12 x 12 perfectly into 6 x 6.......scary.

Got another 3 workshops in November. If you live in the Derby, Nottingham or Burton area and would like to find out more, please let me know.

Here is a box that I have covered with the holly roller, just perfect for that special christmas present.

Card Class - not SU

Another card that was made at Rachels class last week.

The ribbon is so unusual as its elastic in the middle. Used the cuttlebug for the background which was then inked.

Card Making Class

Good evening, phew what a busy week it is so far. I have a workshop on Saturday which I think I am all prepared for.

Thought I would share this card with you that I made at a class last week. Had a fantastic time and it was so nice to go to something that I didnt have to organise myself.

Dashing Designer Papers - I will miss these

Dashing Designer papers again mixed with Real Red and Old Olive Print Designers. The candle is another part of my display.

The punch arrived

Due to the high demand of these punches, and all the other new products, the scalloped edge punch was delivered a little later than I hoped. Thought I would take a picture of them to share with you. I was hoping to have them for the recent retreat I went on but alas, best laid plans and all that. I have a few spare ones so if anyone would like to purchase one, please let me know

These amazing punches are £10.95 (plus 5%p+p) and really enhance any project that you use them on. If you would like one of these, please e-mail me at traceyrossos@hotmail.com. Not sure how to put my e-mail address in a link....yet

Goodies for my workshop displays

Here are another couple of items from my goodies that I made for all the workshops that I have over the next few weeks.

I first saw a similar soap set on the SU table at Derby Uni which I believe Helen had made. Thought it was a great idea so have done something similar.

I cant believe that the Dashing Designer Series papers are in the retired list as it is one of my favourites. If you would like some of this, which is great for the festive season, please order some soon because, when it has gone, it has gone. Then again with the amount that I have been ordering stocks must already be quite low.

Apologies once more for the quality of the pictures.

A few sweeties in a bag all ready to give out. I cant tell you how hard it was to find green sweets but I managed it in the end.

Recipes

Stamp - Season of Joy
Cardstock - Real Red, Olive Green, Always Artichoke
Papers - Dashing Designer (retired list)
Accessories - Red Gingham, Scallop punches, Circle punches

Work - Home Life Balance

I have been asked to give a talk about work - home life balance and how I achieve working full time, running craft clubs, make my own cards and demo Stampin' Up!

Of course I said yes, in theory I should be up at 6.00a.m., with clothes laid out from the night before, pack up ready in the fridge, a leisurly shower and breakfast, popping breakfast pots into empty dishwasher on my way out and just go to work. Have a nice time for 8 and half hours, come home. Prepare tea with a smile on my face, eat, clean the kitchen and put dishwasher on. Perhaps washing a couple of nights a week and ironing another couple of nights. Sit down around 7ish and make cards and sort out stuff for Stampin Up Demos. Just before going to bed around 10 I should have prepared pack up, emptied dishwasher and got clothes ready for the next day.

Yikes, what have I let myself in for.

Reality is getting up at 6.30ish, quick shower, hunt for clothes. Breakfast in a rush and then make packup. All pots left on side cause dishwasher was on the previous night but no time to empty it. Have a stressful day at work. Come home, get tea on, clean up from morning and get changed. Then eat and clean up again and put dishwasher on. About half 8 panic cause I have a birthday the next day and card isnt made. Find the smallest space left on my table to make a card. Take every box out of craft stash to find what I am looking for, without putting it away (it will still be there tomorrow anyway). Make card and drag myself to bed around 11 knowing that I have an SU party at weekend, and nothing yet prepared. Washing??? Ironing??? Cleaning??? not a chance.

But on a lighter note (in between loading dishwasher and making a cuppa), here is a card which I have made for my daughter who has just set up home in Cyprus.

This is a close up of the image (which is a bit blury...no time for photography lessons) which I have stamped 4 times. The first image was stamped onto whisper white cardstock and then I used the stamp a ma jig to position the two people and the furniture. It was stamped again onto real rose designer paper, rose red card and finally onto so saffron.

I used the same colour brads on the wheels and coloured the furniture in using water crayons and the blenders.

Receipe
Cardstock - Real Read, So Saffron
Stamps - Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories
Papers - Designer Rose Red
Accessories - Rich Regal Brads, Blender Pens, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Stampin Pastels

Thank Yous

Not quite sure what happened to my previous posts, it should have been part 2 and then part 3, never mind, I am sure you all get the picture.

Where are the comments?? I keep getting e-mails with lovely comments about the pictures I put on the blog but only a few people are actually commenting on here.......please please let me know what you think.

Had a pretty hectic weekend as I did a SU demonstration at a scrapbooking retreat. Thank you so much to Steph and Marie for your hospitality. We had the biggest jacket potatoes you have ever seen and the taste.......mmmmm. It was lovely to meet all the ladies and I do hope you enjoyed making the cards and bags.

Also a big THANK YOU to my helpers, I really couldnt have done it without you.

If anyone from the retreat finds a pair of stampin up scissors in their bag can you let me know...have searched everywhere and am struggling to use others.

I cant tell you about the missing car keys, okay I will. We packed all up, went in my bag for my keys, not there. Can you imagine trying to hunt for one set of car keys amongst 26 scrapbookers, who were scrapbooking, a SU demo that had just taken place and so much food around that you would think you were in a tuck shop. What a nightmare. But Super Steph found them in the end phewww.

I have been asked to put recipes on all the photos here in my blog and I promise to do that over the next few days.....sorry Linda.

Here is a pictures of my battered star card. The template was given to me Friday night, well, I just had to go home and cut it out. Another thank you.

Receipe
Template - from a friend
Card - real red (which I will return when I get my order, honestly).
Accessories - edged with a gold pen

It looked lovely on the day with all my other goodies that I had made but it got battered on the way home.

Happy Winter part 2

Some tags that I have made using the same colour ribbon as ink. I really dont like paying for tags for presents as I know that they will end up in the bin, the tags that is, and hopefully not the presents.

This is a close up of the image on the tags. Hopefully you will be able to see the glitter. I have used the blender pens just to give the buttons and the scarf a hint of a tint.

Happy Winter part 3

A swinging snowman, well he does swing. This is the demo card I shall use as I want to show where you put the invisible cotton. I cant really tell anyone where to put the invisible cotton if you cant see where it is. Does that make sense??

Also a close up of the image. Oppps I think that is my thumb you can just see in the photo. See what I mean about photography skills

This card has been done using versamark and chalk as a background with the stamp on a small tag, glittered of course. Some ribbon and a button, using the ever popular old olive and real red.

Stamps Happy Winter £10.95 plus p+p for the set of 4

Happy Winter

Christmas is approaching and I still dont have any cards made. Last year I made and sold so many but I can see that this year it will be a last minute rush. I have been looking at doing so quick and easy cards and decided to have a play with just one set and this is what I have come up with today.

My photography skills certainly need improving and any tips would certainly be appreciated.

Here are the first few which I shall show at the retreat over the weekend and then use to demonstrate at a Cardmaking event on 1st November in Mickleover, Derby.

If you would like more information about this event, please let me know.

Hopefully I will be able to use this box for all the workshops that I do

Stampers 6 Club

A few people have asked "how can I get the hostess sets without holding a workshop". There is a way........by joining A STAMPERS 6 CLUB

Here is how it works

You will receive a stampin’ up! Idea book and catalogue for FREE (retail value is £4.95) and a gift from me.

All you need to do is agree to place an order of £25.00 or more per month (plus p+p) for six months. During these six months you will become a hostess for one month. You will then earn hostess benefits starting at £150 in sales. So when each of the six people place their order for £25 or more you will not only get to choose a hostess gift set but also £15 in FREE merchandise. The amount of free merchandise goes up if the total workshop amount goes up. Just think….you can earn hostess benefits just by spending £25 a month, which is approximately £5.25 a week

Don’t worry if you don’t know five other people interested in joining a club, I will create a club once there are six people interested.

Please contact me to join a club traceyrossos@hotmail.com
