Sunday

Sunday with Expressions in Ink

Good morning and it is a warm muggy start to the day.  It was spitting with rain when I went outside a few minutes ago and we have a forecast of showers for today.  We are off to a family BBQ, it will be the first time we have all been together for many months and something I am really looking forward to.  If it rains, we will just have to nip under the car port, nothing is going to stop our get together.

I have been a busy bee catching up with lots of crafting friends over the last week, cup of tea here, a bit of cake there so no time for keeping up with the blog too.  If anything, I think the pandemic has taught me that time with family and friends is so important as we dont know when we will be able to see them again.  Of couse the garden needs looking after too and it is looking lovely round the back.  Just the front to put to right this week.  No routine to our day, we just go with the flow which is what retirement is about.

I saw a card made by Christy Gridley and fell in love with it so I had to start cutting up the Expressions in Ink 12x12 beautiful papers.  I have always been afraid of cutting in to a new pack of pretty papers but once I realised, I can buy some more it got easier, arent I silly.

I am so pleased that you get 2 sheets in each pack as both side are wonderful.   This is the first sheet of pretty paper that I cut up.  I backed it with some gold card and it really does shimmer and shine in real life.

The sentiment comes with the co-ordinating stamp set as does the little flowers and leaves.  Also to co-ordinate with the papers, Stampin' Up! have introduced a very pretty ephemera pack

You get a set of 50 gold foiled pre-cut pieces.  That is 5 sheets with 10 pieces on each sheet as well as 100 adhesive backed sequins, which I forgot to put on my card oppps.  At the price of £6.50 I think this well worth it and you will be seeing a few more of these pretty embellishments in some more of my cards.

Thank you for having a read today, I hope you have a smashing Sunday. Tracey x
