Sunday

DAY THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR - Christmas wreaths

Good morning.  The cold weather is back but I can cope with that today.  I already have my to do list and will be working my way through it.  Today is a day to get ready for the busy week ahead.  I do feel so much more organised if I have everything ready in advance but its not too often I get to be like this....long may it continue.

Its a Sunday Roast kind of day so we know its Sunday and I will be visiting the folks.  Mum isnt having such a good week but that changes on a day to day basis.  I have a few household bits that must be done as well as starting to write the Christmas cards, whilst I can.  I dont want to do too many at a time as it will effect my hand and fingers, these things are sent to try us.

Earlier this week I met up with my friend Paula and her hubby at a Wreath Making Class at a local Insomnia Cafe.  They are part of the Co-Op Shops in our neck of the woods.  Kevin went and enjoyed his coffee and a couple of hours of people watching whilst Paula and I took part in the class.  It was lovely and I had a great time but what a mess we made, oppps.  I was very pleased with the wreath and I will be passing it on to my mum and dad.   I wont be spending Christmas with them this year so wanted them to have something hanging from their door.  I do think that I will have to go up and put up a hook and hang the wreath myself but I can manage that with the help of hubby.

Thanks for having a read today, I do hope you have a wonderful Sunday, whatever you may be up to.  Tracey x

Friday

DAY THREE HUNDRED AND THIRTY - Another make with the Advent Calendar and more news

Good morning, how I love Fridays.  Even though I am retired, I still wake up with that Friday feeling and speaking to friends, they totally understand what I mean.  I think it is because it is the last day of the week and there is the weekend to look forward to, who knows.

We had a lovely warm day in my neck of the woods yesterday and whilst today is a little cooler, its not going to be so cold.  I am out very early purchasing some biscuits and bits and pieces for the Derby Dabblers Craft Club tonight.  If you fancy coming along and joining us, you will have a lovely time.

My facebook page, The Craft Room, Derby now has 200 followers.  This is such big news for me and I am so very grateful for everyone that follows me on my page. How exciting.

I couldn’t wait to open Door No. 2 on the Stampin’ Up! Advent Calendar, and oh my goodness, out came the most gorgeous 6" x 6" designer series papers. They’re perfect for absolutely any occasion, and the best part? They’re single-sided, so no agonising over which side to sacrifice.
I teamed one of the beautiful sheets with some Old Olive A4 cardstock, then stamped the coordinating flowers and a butterfly before giving them all a good fussy cut. I arranged everything onto a C6 card, added a Pretty in Pink strip and finished it off with a stamped sentiment. These papers are so lovely, I can’t wait to dive in and create even more with them.

Thank you so much for having a read today, it is appreciated.  Wishing you a wonderful start to your weekend, Tracey x

Monday

DAY- THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHT - Craft Fayre makes

Good morning. It’s a crisp and chilly Monday in my little corner of the world, just 3 degrees and rain on the way, but hey, I can handle a few raindrops. Today is injection day for my Rheumatoid Arthritis, so it’s a gentle, take-it-as-it-comes kind of day. I still get a few pesky side effects, even after all these years, but the benefits far outweigh the wobbliness. So today, I’m embracing the motto,  go with the flow and do what I can, when I can.

I’ve been helping my sister over the last couple of weeks get ready for her Christmas Fayre, and oh my goodness, we’ve had such a laugh making light-up decoupaged bottles. And no — before you ask — I did not personally drink all the bottles we used.  Each one has to be soaked, scrubbed, and painted twice (because apparently, bottles are divas). Once they’re dry, we add gorgeous festive images and let them rest for two whole days. Then comes a shiny coat of Mod Podge to protect them and give them that lovely sheen.

We also put together some adorable pen pots/paintbrush pots stuffed with sweets, perfect for the fayre and wonderfully useful long after the treats are gone. It’s been busy, it’s been creative, and it’s been a whole lot of fun.  Here she is with her friend and daughter (my niece).

I had best get my day started before time runs away with me.  Thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey xx

DAY THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SEVEN - 12 Days of Christmas Crafting, Advent Calendar and a Black Friday Sale

Good afternoon. Whoop whoop, I’ve finally got my computer back! You have no idea what a nightmare it’s been without it. I genuinely didn’t realise just how much I rely on this little machine until it was gone. My mornings always start the same way, a cuppa in hand, my Revitive machine helping with my lymphoedema and me catching up on emails, messages, and everything I missed overnight. And, of course, updating the blog, something I haven’t been able to do at all since the computer decided to throw a tantrum.

Picture this: a bright pink border across the top of the screen and the bottom flashing at me like some kind of warning beacon. Absolutely no fun!

It’s now been checked over, nothing obvious was found, so it’s been wiped clean and reset back to factory settings. Fresh start, clean slate.

I’ve got a bit of catching up to do, but that can wait until later in the week. For now, let’s dive straight into what I started yesterday. I simply couldn’t resist any longer, I just had to open the first door of the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar

⚠️ Stop reading right now if you don’t want to see what’s hiding behind Door No. 1.

This is the Advent Calendar and there are 12 doors to open.  You also get a 24 pieces stamp set to go with the calendar, that is not behind one of the doors, it comes seperately.

Here are 4 cards that I have made using a few of the dies and the stamp set.  I really enjoyed doing these and I have ideas for a few more.

To find out a little more about the Advent Calendar click on the product list at the end of this post.

One of the biggest challenges of having a completely wiped computer is that nothing logs in automatically anymore. It’s a bit of a nuisance having to sign in to everything again, but it’s also a good reminder of which apps and sites I actually use regularly — and which ones I don’t.

I havent been able to tell you about the very first Stampin' Up! Black Friday Sale.  It will start on Tuesday and run until Monday December 1st.  Being in the UK there is a bit of a time difference and we get to see the sale from 11pm on Monday evening.

Here is a 'shop here' link for you to click on to have a browse once the sale starts. You can click on this image at any time and it will take you straight to my online store.

Thank you so much for having a read this evening.   Please do leave a comment if you have time, I love reading them.  Happy Crafting, Tracey x
