DAY FIFTY ONE - Online Exclusives on Last Chance List, Lego Boxes and Paddington

Good morning and a lovely warmer morning to wake up to today.  We travelled back from Cyprus where the mornings were really cold, on Tuesday and yesterday was a day of catching up and collecting bits and pieces from everyone that had saved them from me.

Went off to see my friends at the pain management group and how wonderful it was to see everyone that was there.  Such good friends and new faces too.

Mum had been doing so well and we have been chatting 'online' of a fashion and had some lovely conversations but yesterday she had a fall out of bed.  She doesnt know what happened, why she ended up on the floor nor why she has a great big gash up her leg.  Most of the morning was waiting for the paramedics who came around 1.30pm followed by an ambulence to the hospital.  My sister and I drove to the hospital at 9pm as there was no sign of any transportation to bring them home.  Mums leg has had strips to tape it up, and not one but 3 bandages put on it.  We got them home and left them with a cuppa so I will go off to visit them again later today.

Mum has a hospital bed which is lower than her bed and because it can move up and down, the carers that visit daily can help her easier.  Unfortunately, the bed has two 'wedges' that go down each side of the bed to help mum not fall out.  Mum is a rather large lady and the wedges just make her feel hemmed in and if she rolls on to them, they will move and she will fall out of bed, which she has done.  Although we have asked for a bed with sides on, she isnt allowed to have these on the bed because she has dementia. We are told that dementia patients climb over the bars to get out.  There is not a cat is hells chance that my mum can climb over a step never mind about rails on a bed so today, I will be getting on the telephone to see what can be done.  We cant have mum falling out again, she will break her hip or other bones and we dont want that.  Rant over.

Our return to UK started at 1am in the morning, getting ready to pick up Katerina, who took us to the airport at 5am in the morning.  Our flight left on time but we went to Heathrow.  I would much rather go to Heathrow and travel to Derby on the train than travel back in the middle of the night and loose a whole nights sleep.  It is easier on the body especially with Rhumatoid Arthritis.

From Heathrow we took the tube to Paddington where we stopped for a cuppa and a bite to eat.  On my last trip to Paddington we couldnt find the statue as it had been away for refurbishment.  Well I found him this week.  His nose is so shiny for all the folk that rub it, so wonderful to see

The statue is a lot smaller than you think though.

So today we are off to a funeral which is sad.  My neighbours on one side both passed away recently so we shal go and pay our respects.

Then later this afternoon I shall most definately be in the craft room and getting creative, so looking forward to it.  I need a few specail cards so will get on to it today.

I dont think I shared these little treat boxes with you that Sheila made
