Hand Penned Everything Fabulous cards

Good morning.  Another start to another week and I have a great week to look forward to, all craft related of course.

During July we had a few get togethers and here are one of the cards that we made, using the Hand Penned stamp set, Designer Series Papers, masks, blending, some cutting out and lots of 'In colors' (no 'u' as it is the way that the Americans spell it).

To start with, we coloured in 5 Basic Rhinestones with a blend pen of the same colour as the designer series paper that we chose.  If you want to colour in rhinestones, it is best to do it straight away as it does take some time to dry.  I have tried to do it quickly and ended up with the colour all over my fingers which I transfered to my card...opps.

We cut out a 2" strip of In Color designer series papers.  Using the Basic Masks and blending brushes, we inked through the dotty mask, on to the base card directly, using the same coloured ink as the desinger series papers.  On a piece of additional card we stamped out the large flower head from the stamp set 4 times and coloured them in using the stamps in the set and the other In Coloured inks, making sure that some part of the flower posy had the same colour ink as we had used for the designer series paper. These were then cut out and snipped into.   Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies (which really are a must if you dont already have them) the sentiment (from the All Things Fabulous stamp set) was stamped out in ink and then mounted onto a border. Then with the remaining posies, we cut them up and created a decoration for the envelope,  added a piece for the gift card and with what was left, decorated the insert of the card.

A card similar to this was made for mums birthday a while ago and so many people asked how I made it, so I thought I would share with everyone.  I have quite a few of these in my birthday box ready to hand out.
