Weekly Deals, birthday card and winery trip

Good morning, I am up early today as I have even more mosquito bites and they were really itching.  I was hoping to buy an Aloe Vera plant to help but not found one yet. I will see if I can find one today.

We had a smashing day yesterday.  It was Sophia’s Name Day so 6 of us went to a village called Kato Drys to a winery for brunch.  As they were  actually collecting the grapes the whole place was swarming with wasps.

I have never seen anything like it but with a couple of tricks, we were able to sit, eat and drink. The first thing that we did was get an ashtray, cover the bottom with Greek Coffee powder and set light to it.  The thing smoked for quite a long time and with a gentle fan behind it, it kept the wasps at bay.  Katerinas Fiancé also picked up the wasps once they landed and killed them in a serviette, I have never seen anyone do this before.  We also had a tour around the winery which was most interesting.

Today is Alison’s birthday and this is the card that I hope the postman delivered.
