The wedding dressing ceremony and Mums Birthday

Good afternoon, I think I have a bit of catching up to do.

After a very busy few days, we have just spent an amazing day, doing nothing, really nothing.  A late start to the day followed by breakfast, a chill in the hotel followed by lunch.  A paddle in the Mediterranean Sea, a laze in a beach bed and then a cuppa.

For those that may not know, my youngest daughter got married on Saturday.  We had a traditional Greek wedding.  We went to a village called Lefkera on Friday evening for the weekend.  Saturday we started with a late breakfast and then up at the house we hired as it was the traditional dressing ceremony.  Here are a selection of photos from the morning.

I mustn’t forget that it was my Mums birthday a couple of days ago, she was 82.  Unfortunately she couldn’t make it to the wedding as she is not in the best of health.  She has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s as well as Vascular Dementia.  This is the card that I made for her using different stamp sets and dies, some of which have retired.

I shall not apologise for using retired products as  I keep the things that I know I can use again and again, as most of us do. I feel sure that if you wish to purchase a retired item, between all of us crafting friends, we could find it for you.  She had a great birthday and loved the card.

Thank you so much for having a read today, I will catch up with more photos tomorrow, I just don’t want to bore everyone with them lol.  More chilling this evening,
