DAY FORTY THREE - Birds Eye View card

Good morning, new day, new week and I have a wonderful one planned.   This morning we are having a get together to create one sheet wonders and I shall attempt some masculine ones to get some cards created and popped into the box.  I seem to be running low on them.  It will be lovely to spend even more time with friends (that is all I have done all weeekend to be honest), its been great.

Then this evening I shall go for my Monday wander and put the world to right.  Meeting up with a few folk to have a bit of fresh air, followed by a cuppa.

I wanted to share this card that I made with you, something a little different for me.  I started off with a Boho Blue card base and added Pebbled Path and Smoky Slate mats.  The stamped piece is Basic White.

The image was stamped in Stazon ink and then coloured in with Stampin' Up! ink.  I tapped the ink pad on to an acrylic block and using a water painter, mixed the colour slightly before picking it up on a slightly damp brush and colouring it in.  You dont want too much water on your brush because you will cause all the fibers of the paper to bubble up.

The sentiment is from another stamp set called Darling Details (again a fab stamp set with lots of possibilities). The background of the sentiment has been created with Boho Blue card and the new Perennial Postage Die Set, have you seen this yet?  I think this will become my 'go to' for sentiments and images.    All finished off with In Color dots.  Full details and links to the products can be found at the bottom of the page .

Should you wish to order anything and you are local to The Craft Room, Derby, ask me to get them for you and you can save on postage.  My details are at the end of this post.

I adore these little owls and I think it is the glasses in the stamp set that has appealed to me.  I can see so many variations that I would like to create.  These can be watercoloured, coloured in with blend pens, pencils, markers, just so many options.  At £19 I think that you could make cards for children, men as well as families.  Birthday, graduation, new babies and anniversaries.  I shall share what I come up with.

Well thank you so much for having a read today.  I hope your week gets off to a great start, Tracey x
