DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY SIX - Splendid Autumn DSP along with Aunts Birthday Card

Good morning, I cant believe that it has been a week since I sat down to write a post.  The days go by so very quickly.  I saw the 'dont forget to play' image on my travels around the internet so pinched it as I thought it was lovely as well as being very true.

Everything is going well and it's wonderful spending time with the girls and their hubbies.  Being with little Alexandros is amazing.  I have started nanny duties and love it.  I cant describe the pleasure he brings when he smiles and laughs.

i haven't been able to do any crafting since I arrived but I do keep looking at the bits and pieces I have on my craft shelf which is inside a wardrobe.  Fingers crossed I can get a little time to create something soon.

Here is a card that I made recently and it was sent out to a very special Aunty who had a birthday a couple of days ago.

This is called an Easel card and uses lots of wonderful products from Stampin' Up!
There is a little bit of blending, some splattering using one of the water painters, stamping of the flowers, colouring them in with inks and then die cutting them out. The embellishments are just a few from the 100s of sequins that I have.
I really must make more of this type of card as I really enjoyed making this one.

I wanted to share another card that was made using the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Papers from Stampin' Up!  These are the papers that I put in an envelope along with co-ordinating card and asked the Stamperettes if they would make something with it.  Julie made this one and she did say that she didnt want to waste any of it.

There are still lots of other cards to share with you using these wonderful papers which can be found in the  September - December Mini Catalogue .

If you click on the image below a new window should open up and you can have a browse through the brochure

Alternatively you can just nip over and have a look at them by clicking on the image below

Have you seen the new kits that stampin' Up! have released  this month?  There is the Christmas Ornament Kit as well as the Card Keeper Kit.  I am not too sure how long these will be on the shelves for as I think they will be very popular.

Thats my news for today.  I think its time to go and dip my toes in some warm water.  Thank you for having a read. Tracey xx

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT - Splendid Autumn Designer Series Papers and new catalogues

Good morning and what a morning it has been so far.  Can you oversleep when you are on holiday? well if you can, I did.  It has been such a slow start to the day but I guess that is what holidays are for.

Before coming away I left an envelope for lots of Stamperettes which had some of the wonderful new papers inside them called Splendid Autumn and a couple of card bases.  I asked if they would create a card or two and Anne certainly did that.

This is her first card and its superb. She has used Lemon Lolly as her card base, the new papers. Splendid Autumn as well as some Gorgeous Grape card.

These papers, along with lots of other new papers can be found in the September - December Mini Catalogue which has just been released.

If you click on the image below a new window should open up and you can have a browse through the brochure

Not only has this mini catalogue been released but Stampin' Up! have released a Scrapbooking brochure today also.  Again, clicking on the picture below will open it up for you to browse through.

Tuesday

DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN - Teabag holder using Citrus Blooms Stamp set and Mediterranean Blooms DSP

Good evening and oppps.  It seems that my internet connection hasnt been the best and my blog hasnt been publishing even though it is set up to do so.  Oh well, lets have a bit of a catch up.

I have been out to Ikea today to purchase a coffee table that I have been after for quite a long time.  We checked the stock, tick, lots available.  We put the a.c. on in the car and off we went.  Of course, it was lunch as soon as we arrived and then off to place our order but oh oh, there was a problem.  No aisle number on the ticket to collect the table so off to find an assistant and boy there were lots to choose from.

She checked and said no, we dont have stock. When I said that I checked before setting out she went and checked and said there must be a system error as she could order a table but the system wasnt showing stock.  After a long wait, lots of phone calls, lots of folk helping her, she said "yes, we have 2 available".  Fortunately we only wanted one so went to collect it promptly.  Hubby will put it all together first thing in the morning before it gets too warm.

I went to a Stampin' Up! get together a few weeks ago in a wonderful town called Lincoln and I was so lucky to take part in a swap with lots of other demonstrators.

I received this wonderful little packet which had an amazing tea bag inside.  Its a good job I took a photo of it prior to drinking the tea.

This was created by Karen Mackley of Carrieanna Cards.  It is made using the Citrus Blooms stamp set as well as the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Papers.  The Mini Pocket Envelope dies have been used to create this wonderful holder, all tied up with Linen thread.  Thank you so much Karen.
