Sunday

Sunday with Ranunculous Romance

Good morning.  I am up really early today.  Lots of little things to finish off and get ready for a lovely week of crafting get togethers.

Are you free on Wednesday morning and would you like to join us for a morning of crafting?  We shall make two cards and hopefully there will be lots of lovely crafty chatter and laughter.  There are just a couple of places available and it would be wonderful to see you.  If you havent been before you will be made to feel very welcome, we are a lovely group.  Please get in touch (all my contact details are below)   if you would like more information.

We have had a smashing week this last week, we have even been out three times.  Its quite hard to believe as we dont go out that much but it is so nice to catch up with folk.  As hubby and I used to work at the same place, we went to a retirement party of one of the characters we worked with and character is the perfect description for him.  How nice it was to see so many friends and to be able to reminice about the 'old days'.   We are all hoping to meet up again at Christmas.

Of course there has been lots of activity in the craft room and here is a card that has been created using a stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Ranunculous Romance.  I have had this set for a while and we shall be using it to create some vintage style cards this week at our Crafty get togethers.

It is a stamp set with 10 stamps and I have used 4 of them to create a background on Sahara Sand card.  Stamping randomly in the same coloured ink, Sahara Sand.  I teamed it with Garden Green A4 card but the colour doesnt show up too much in the photograph, it does in real life though.  There is no sentiment on this card yet as I am not sure for what occasion I am using it.  Do you leave your cards without sentiments or do you always add them at the time of making them?

To create the main image, I used the Stamperatus and two Stampin' Write pens, Garden Green and Pale Papaya on Very Vanilla card.  I then blended in some Sahara Sand ink with the blending brush (once the stamped image was dry) and gently went round and around the image.

To finish it off, I coloured the leaves and flowers in using my Wink of Stella pen so they do have a sparkle to them, without using glitter.  The linen thread was attached with half a glue dot.  Have you ever cut up a glue dot...what a mess I got into.  It stuck to my fingers, to the scissors in fact it stuck to everything apart from the linen thread.  A little patience and I got there in the end phew.  I do hope you like the card, a little bigger at 5" x 7" but one I am very pleased with. Details of the products I have used are listed below and, if you would like to order anything and are local to Derby, I shall be placing an order in a couple of days and will be happy to add it to that.  This means that you could collect your goodies from me as soon as they arrive.  To find out more, please get in touch.

Are you free next Friday evening?  Our monthly crafty get together will take place and includes a game of bingo.  The numbers are increasing each month and there are so many different crafts happening, card making, knitting, scrapbooking, putting kits together, crochetting, diamond art, to name just some of them.

Thank you so much for having a read and again, if I can help with anything, please do get in touch.  It would be wonderful if you left me a little comment, just so that I know you visit.  Have a smashing Sunday.  Tracey x
