DAY THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY EIGHT - Birthdays and Festive Makes

Good morning, I am up at silly o clock today but thats because I was coughing and I have a very painful ear.  Yesterday I woke up to fluid weeping out of my left ear which caused a panic, never heard of this before.  After a mad dash to the pharmacist, he confirmed that I have an ear infection but, he cant give me antibiotics.  So we made an appointment and the Urgent Treatment Walk In Centrer and saw a doctor there.  I left with a presciption for antibiotics and started taking them yesterday.  The pain is still there, it is still weeping and I am just hoping theat the antibiotics start working soon.  In the meantime, I shall continue with paracetamol for the pain as well.  Then I have this tickling cough which is so annoying.  My face is quite misshapen and swollen, hope it goes back to normal soon. These things are most certainly sent to try us.

Here is a fun card that I made for a wonderful friends birthday yesterday.   You can use any image to make this card.  By blending an aread and then stamping the sentiment 4 times moving it along each time created a great layout.    Add a few flowers or petals and some embellishments and it all comes out lovely.

Another Festive make, this time is no. 14

I had to get the posh paper out for this one. These cards have been created using the Shimmery White card from Stampin' Up! Unfortunately I can no longer get hold of this and I am always on the look out for an alternative so, should you know of anything please, do let me know. First of all I created a background using Crumb Cake ink and a blender through a 2 3/8" hole cut out with the punch. The Tree was then stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon ink. When it was dry I took the ink pad of old olive and gently went over the tree branches with a water painter, the baubles in Cherry Cobbler and the star has just dazzling diamonds on them.
The Merry Christmas sentiment is one that was in my stash. Baubles had the glossy accent all over them to make them stand out and I just had a great time with these cards, I made quite a few of them too, slightly larger at 5" x 7".

We have family visiting us today, the son will pop over at some time after lunch and we have brother in law calling in.  I do have to visit mum and dad as I have a M & S Christmas cake to pass on to them, a bit of a treat.

Thank you so much for having a read.  Tracey x
