Good morning, for once, I’m actually ready for the day, shocking, I know. It’s shaping up to be a slightly unusual Monday.
I treated myself to a well-deserved lie-in, especially after dragging myself out of bed at 4 a.m. yesterday. No surprise I was out like a light by 5 p.m. Tut tut indeed. The rest of the evening was spent with my feet up, watching TV, doing absolutely nothing productive and it was glorious. So now I’m feeling wonderfully rested.
The arthritis has decided to visit my right knee today, with a side order of sore fingers and wrist on the same side, I think it's just to keep things interesting. I’ll be keeping an eye on it, especially since I’m off to a painting class later and I need these hands to behave themselves.
At some point today, the car is disappearing for its MOT but the problem is I have no idea when, just that it’s happening. I found out on Friday that it needed to be done yikes! Luckily, the lovely lady at the dealership worked a miracle and squeezed me in today.
So, with all that going on, it’s a “finishing things off” kind of day. A bit unusual for a Monday, but you won’t hear any complaints from me. I have a few Christmas tags to finish, the ironing to finish off. I also want to finish putting a few bits together for returning to a store and then it will be finishing off the houshold chores before going off for a watercolour class.
Here is my Festive make No. 8, which makes it about right with the dates now, phew. I told you it was a finishing off day.
Festive Make No. 8
It is another oldie stamp set but turns out a lovely card. I make two of these at the same time using a A5 sheet of card. Once they are stamped I slice them down the middle and emboss them before adding them on to a card base. The 'berries' have a glossy accent coat on them and then I pop the sentiment on using 3D foam pads. I love to decorate the envelopes and its usually something I forget to do. I will try to remember to do this more often as I love the effect.
Thank you for having a read this Monday morning. Hope you have a marvellous day, Tracey x
