After another lovely couple of days with Christiana, who is such a help, here we are again, nearing the end of yet another, wonderful week.
The weather is damp and miserable today and we have had a lot of rain overnight but at least it isnt too cold, although Christiana thinks it is.
Yesterday we went for a wander around the Range and Morrisons. I find that its a lot easier to go out and about for a wander around places but boy, it does cause havoc with my knee. The diet really does have to be stepped up a notch or two and on Monday, that is exactly what will be happening.
TAH DAH
Christiana and I sat and made these last night, which were very quick and easy to put together once we cut them all out. They all have a little something in them too. We are going to have another play with this die tonight so more to show you tomorrow.
We used this to make the little boxes

We had a lovely weekend with Christiana and I am just really sorry that I havent any photos of the time we spent together. Camera is out now and ready to take photos this afternoon, when we bake. Oh yes, we are going to give this oven a go at baking a couple of cakes. Well we will be needing cakes on 25th October (I am having a bit of a sale of crafty items if you fancy coming along).
It was a bit of food shopping on Sunday morning (which included fluffy warm boots?) not for us to eat but to keep Christiana warm, I was rather surprised at all the lovely stuff that Sainsbury have. Then Paul and Chrisitana took me to Ikea for a bit of a walk and a breath of fresh air as well as an extremely late lunch. We came home with a new storage idea for my ribbons (well you just have to dont you), as well as another narrow case for the craft room for my punches. If they are out where I can see them, I will use them. Here is the narrow case which houses all my SU punches plus others. I have had to use a shelf for some of the old style punches that I just cant bear to part with.
And here is the blind that I found at Dunelm, which does a perfect job. Thanks to a wonderful understanding hubby who put this up for me.
I shall be putting an order in this evening with stampin' up! and if you would like anything, especially from the weekly deals, please let me know as soon as you can. Here is a reminder of the weekly deals
A few more household items need to be passed on/sold because as I am putting this new house into some kind of order, I find that I just cant keep everything. I am told that a change is as good as a rest.
If you could use a box full of coat hangers or a wooden framed mirror, please tell me as you are most welcome to them.
It is certainly very windy and damp in Derby today so I shall make sure that I stay warm and wrapped up. Hopefully I will have a card or two to share with you next time.
Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day.

Saturday
Going, going, gone
I cant believe how much fog is out there this morning. I do hope that if anyone is driving, it isnt too difficult, not that you will be reading and this and driving, well at least I hope you wont.
I had a go at the Euro millions last night, well you can guess the result as I sit here typing this but, you do have to be in it to win it.
Christiana in the UK with me for a while and its lovely. We are spending lots and lots of time together and of course, I get to spoil her a bit too.
This is a photo of her when we were on the Happy Train in Athens, another selfie that I didnt seem to get right.
Yesterday we went to the hairdressers together, nothing unusual with that you may think but it has been more than 3 years since we did this. Then we nipped into Dunelm as she wants some flanellete sheets. They didnt have them so we need to order to collect. I did get a blind for my crafting space, which I am hoping hubby may have time to put up today and she got a few little bits for her apartment in Larnaca for Christmas.
It has been a bit manic here over the last few days, Thursday morning we had the bedroom wardrobes built in, this took all day Thursday and Friday and as you can imagine, the whole home is upside down again. We had to empty the bedroom and put it in the living room, kitchen and conservatory. The front door was wide open for two days so the dust is at least 2 inches thick, (well it looks like that) but boy was it worth it. Bedroom looks tidy for the first time since we arrived. Today I shall get great pleasure cleaning it all down and start to put my clothes etc. away.....again. So its goodbye to the walk in wardrobes of the last 10 weeks.
Also on Thursday, the tree fellers came (there really were three fellas) to cut down the large tree on the front and the extremely large one on the back. I cant tell you how much space this has opened up.

This is the front, first thing in the morning
This is the back, showing you the amount of space it took up
Another one from the back, showing you the height of it all.
The tree feller actually cut this down from the bottom, going up
Until there was nothing left, now we have to try and get rid of the telegraph pole, which is in next doors garden, there is always something isnt there.
I sat and coloured in a few Christmas cards last night, it was very theraputic. They are stamped, coloured with watercolour pencils and/or cosmic shimmers. I used the stamp a ma jig to get the sentiment as straight as I could, well sometimes you just have to.Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful Saturday, whatever you are up to.
Wednesday
Midweek Musing
Good morning from a very damp Derby brrrr its cold out there too.
Halfway through the week and I have lots of things to look forward to for the rest of the week, tomorrow the two big trees are coming down yikes. And of course tomorrow and Friday we are having wardrobes fitted which means, I can put my clothes away (loosing the walk in wardrobe), I can move some more boxes, for a change and hopefully, fingers crossed, I can empty a few more boxes, phew.
Some special offers for you this week from Stampin' Up and the Weekly deals
If there is anything that you would like, please let me know by Sunday, as that is when the order will go in.
It is lovely having my eldest daughter with me, we are catching up with loads of stuff and, she just loves all the shops here. Yesterday it was Boots, Monsoon and Sainsburys, a right mixture.
Well, off to work I go, thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day

I do hope you like this photo. I took it last week when we were in Athens. To get around Athens you need to use either the Metro, the trams or the buses and we had a brilliant time trying them all out. This photograph was at the Metro station that we used which was right by our hotel. It took me days to capture this wall, without anyone walking in front of me.
Lipsticks, I have quite a few but I no longer wear this shade. I think we must all go through shade phases and for years I wore this darker shade. Now I like my pinks but, what do I do with the dozen or so lipsticks I no longer wear? I usually use a lip brush so these lipsticks havent been on my lips...so to speak. What do you do with the lipstick that you no longer wear?
Christiana has been keeping herself busy by sorting out all my coloured card and putting all the colours together for me. This will be a great big help when I re-start my scrapbooking, which wont be too long at all now. If you fancy a day of scrapbooking, following a design/colour/theme, do please let me know as I am starting a crop, once a month in my crafty space. The first one is on Saturday 22nd November.
Well I had best get myself ready for work, have a lovely day and thanks for having a read.

Monday
Typical Monday Morning
This time last week we were on the happy train, oh I know, I take terrible selfies. I shall get some of Pauls nice photos and show you over the next few days. Here is another group one that we did. Evanthea, one of the twins friends has a selfie stick....I think I need to invest in one
I am off to work this morning in the dark, the rain and the wind, yaks. Lets hope I dont have to do this for too much longer.
Order going in tonight if you need anything (or just want anything). Dont miss out on the bargains to be had and if you need a hand with anything, just let me know as I am always happy to help.
Have you put 25th October in your diaries? I am having a large sale at home, of lots of crafty items. If you cant make it on the day but would like something in particular from SU, please do let me know, I may have it and you can get it at a bargain price.
Lets go and see how the roads are today, thanks for having a read

Sunday
Sunny Sunday
No lie in today but that's okay. The weather forecast is cloudy with a high of just 16 degrees, if it dries my washing, that's fine by me.
I hope to try and catch up with some blogs throughout the day to see what everyone has been up to and all the cards that have been made whilst I have been away.
We had a wonderful time on our holiday in Athens and here just a few photos as I dont want to bore you.
Friends of the girls, who have all been together for many years, decided to surprise Sophia and turn up in a cafe one afternoon, the look on her face was priceless. We had a great few days all together.
Sat very high having a coffee with a great view
This is the view that we had from our bedroom in the first hotel we stayed at.
We decided on Athens this year as Sophia is studying there for 6 months, all part of her 4 year uni course to become a social worker. It was also Christianas birthday, what a great way to spend a special day.
So, I have been catching up with Stampin' Up! and wow, just look at all these offers
I read about this fantastic offer from Stampin' Up! and with Christmas just around the corner, I really do need a few bits and bobs to stock up on.
Have you thought about signing up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator or rejoining? Now could be a great time especially if you like 12 x 12 Stampin' Up! paper
If you would like to order anything, an order will be going in tomorrow night (monday 6th October) at 7pm. Please do let me know either by giving me a ring on 01332 721877 or drop me a line at tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

Saturday
What a week
Home safe and sound from a wonderful week in Athens, with all 3 of my daughters. It has been hectic, mad, funny and sad all rolled into one. We have had a fantastic time and today its time to catch up, not only with the washing and ironing but with everything else.
The internet connections in Athens were terrible. It was so hit and miss and I just couldn't get to read emails, phone messages nor lots of other bits so by the end of today, I shall be well informed of everything that has been happening.
Thanks for having a look at the blog today and I hope that all is well in your world. Back later with all the news and holiday photos of course.
Monday
Monday Morning
umm, now where did that weekend go? Saturday I really was on top form, getting all the washing done and ironing it, oh yes. Managed to get all the little jobs done in crafty space too, desk put up, floors swept, last bit of painting etc. I do still have to find blinds in the next day or two. We have lost my big shot cutting plates, magnetic plate and my multipurpose platform. They were in the craft room but now *puff* vanished. No trace of them. We have spent ages and ages going through all the boxes, the bags, the shelves but nope, nada. So I cant use my big shot for a while, boo hoo.
Katerina has had another couple of nights in her new place and there is a nightclub just outside the block of apartments and she is getting woken up at 3am and 4am. I have told her to complain to the council, not sure what else she can do??
Yesterday Paul scraped, undercoated and painted the wooden window frames that we have.

It took him all day, apart from a lovely lunch at son and daughter in laws. They have just had a new kitchen, which is stunning. It was great to see the grandchildren and have time to talk to everyone.
Here is my newly scrubbed work desk, well my afternoon work desk, my morning one is no where near as much fun
I managed to finish off two cards that I have had cut out and ready for nearly a year

If you would like to have a go at making these, I shall be having a "Joyful Christmas Evening" in the middle of October (as soon as I can find the tables for my craft room). We shall decorate a couple of bags too.
I had best get breakfast ready and tootle off to work for a few hours. Have a lovely Monday and thank you so much for having a read.

A box for Katerina
Well the weekend is here YEAH. The day that I can have a lie in and at 5.15 *ping* wide awake.
I took Katerina back to the train station Thursday *so sad* and now the house is very quiet. Fortunately a friend of hers caught the same train that Katerina was on in Crewe so at least they kept each other company for a while. Her roomie returned last night as did a friend of theirs that will be staying with her for a while.
It has been wonderful having her at home, laughing, doing things for her, spending time together and talking constantly. Just under a week and we will be seeing her again.
I mentioned on my blog before, about her apartment in Preston, well this is what she was told she would get

This is what she got

And this is what we did with her room,

I am showing you the hand bag holder in this photo, of course Paul walked in just as I took the photo

And I made this for her to take back, it should match the bits she has in her room.
I am home most of the day today and all evening so, if you are free, fancy a cuppa, a crafty chat please feel free to call in. I may be ironing or I may be doing a bit in my crafty space but always happy to stop for a cuppa.
Have a wonderful Saturday, whatever you are up to and thanks for having a read
