Happy Birthdays - Day 9

Today its a very Happy Birthday to my grand daughter Millie, she is 11  and also a very special birthday is being celebrated by a lovely crafting friend Liz.  Here are the cards that I made for two very special ladies

I have been really busy in the crafty space this week, moving things around, putting things away and sorting, as you do. Here are a few bits that I have for sale, I just love this box and then of course

The box is No. 38#MY100HAPPYDAYS
I have over 150 cards all ready for sale, which are on sale too so if you are reading this and need a card or two, just let me know.
Having all these wonderful cards ready is my No. 39#MY100HAPPYDAYS
I had a lovely Tuesday at Tracey's, it was wonderful to see everyone and the cake, well, what can I say apart from scrummy.  Thursday saw the journal/project life night in which Sam and I had a very productive evening.  Tonight of course is the Christmas Card and Chatter Club.  This has moved into the Crafty Space for a while to see if numbers increase and if they do, we shall move back to the church hall.

I have been given all these wonderful crafting magazines

If you would like one, two, a few or a lot please do let me know and come and help yourself.  A total stranger that I met via Street Life called in yesterday to collect a few magazines and she gave me this wonderful plant, which has to be my No. 40#MY100HAPPYDAYS

Perhaps I should pass this on to Denise as it was Denise that left the magazines?
Christiana, my eldest, my have caught a collection condition, from her mum.  She is so pleased with her new purchase, a box.  She just loves it, called me to tell me all about it and then the photos.

Then to her surprise, she found that it was a set of 2 boxes and one was hidden inside the other, well you cant imagine her happiness....opps.

Well, I had best get a wiggle on as I need to do a few chores, shopping and then make a stew for tea.  Then I can go and play for an hour.  Thanks for having a read and have a lovely day, oh I didnt tell you about all the new SU things I made.....tomorrow

Tuesday

New Stampin' Up! Catalogues

Yesterday didnt quite go as planned, it isnt very often that my days do but never mind, I got most of the things done I wanted except not enough time in the crafty space.  I do have lots of 6 x 6 paper packs for sale, some more stamp sets as well as other bits and pieces that need to be put out.  I will have to get a wiggle on and get it sorted this morning as its Tuesday at Traceys today.  I do hope that if you have time you will call in for a cuppa, a slice of cake and some crafty chat.

The Stamperettes order are in too so if any Stamperettes are out and about today / tonight, please do call in.

The new Spring / Summer Catalogue is out.  As from today you can order from the new catalogue as well as the main one.  In addition, Sale a Bration starts today.  This is where you get free products when you spend £45.  It can all get a little confusing, basically, there are 3 catalogues that you can now order from
  • the annual catalogue that runs out in June
  • the spring/summer catalogue that runs out in June
  • Sale a Bration catalogue that runs out on 31st March

If you spend £45 (this is the total amount of products from any/all current catalogues) you can have any one of these items, FREE.

If you hold your own Stampin Up party, here are the benefits - until 31st March.  I have some dates free in February and in March.  If you would like to hold a party but no where to do this, I could possibly have the answer, please do get in touch and we can have a chat.

If you would like to join me and my team, here are the benefits - until 31st March

If you would like to find out more, please do get in touch.  No pressure talks or anything else like that, I can answer all your questions and tell you all about joining, even if its just to get the benefits for yourself.

I was creating yesterday but of a different nature, I made a few of these up, got lots of ideas for more, I just need a little more time.

Thank you for having a read, have a lovely day and please, do give me a call or send me an email if there is anything that I can help you with, with regards to crafting of course.

Monday

A late start to the day - Day 5

Good morning and I hope that everyone that went back to work this morning managed it okay.  Unfortunately Paul's alarm clock didnt go off and we woke up very late but never mind.

Yesterday was supposed to be a quiet day but mums oven went BANG in the middle of cooking Sunday lunch so it was finished off here and sis and bro in law came for lunch so the afternoon was spent home.  Last night I managed to have play in the craft room and you can see what I made on my number 36 of MYHAPPYDAYS.

As promised I have caught up with my happy days and here they are

No 32#MY100HAPPYDAYS - I got these from Santa and WOW.  They are really good and my face is a lot softer.  Paul went into MAC and got them for me and everytime I use them, I am happy

No 33#MY100HAPPYDAYS - This was taken on New Years Day.  I made cakes and two of the grandchildren, the youngest 2, Amy and Hollie dusted the top.

No 34#MY100HAPPYDAYS - Everytime I use this I smile.  Sophia and Katerina got this for me in Athens.

No 35#MY100HAPPYDAYS - DOT by Marc Jacobs and its wonderful.  I first smelt this when I went to convention and forgot my perfurme and I pinched a bit of this from a friend.  Its so nice and makes me happy every time I wear it, which reminds me.

No 36#MY100HAPPYDAYS - I made these last night and love them.  So happy that I am able to make something so nice...

Last day to get your orders in from the Autumn / Winter catalogue.  I shall be submitting my order later today so please, do get in touch if you would like anything.

Must get a wiggle on as very late already, have a really great day and thank you for nipping in to read the blog

Sunday

Slow Start Sunday - Day 4

Good morning from an extremely cold Derby.  Its -2 outside brrr.  I was going out to put the heating on in the craft room but I will wait a little longer.

Getting the fresh eggs didnt work.  Text message sent saying I was on way, eventually found the house, knocked on door....rang bell, knocked again but no reply tut tut.  Got home and an hour later got a text message to see if I was still out an about.  I will try once more but the idea was that I would be able to walk to collect my eggs each week but this lady lives a long drive away.  Still no fresh veggies yet but I will keep asking people and eventually I am sure I will find someone selling some, until I can grow my own that is.

Saturday was Scrapbook Saturday and my little crafty space was full to the brim, not of scrapbookers but it was a great opportunity for everyone to pop in, have a cuppa and cake and a catch up.  Sam did her project life and WOW, its stunning.  Me I did my scrapbooking

TAH DAH

I didnt get it finished until 9pm last night though but hay, that is fine.  I used lots of Stampin' Up! bits inclduing the card, Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set, Off the Grid Stamp Set, Marina Mist ink, the star dies, dazzling diamonds and of course, my girls photos.  The next scrapbooking is on 7th February.

Tomorrow I will have a catch up with #MY100 HAPPY DAYS with you.

LAST CHANCE tomorrow to order anything from the Autumn / Winter brochure.  I have a diddy order going in if you would like to add anything to this.  Get in touch either today or tomorrow before 1pm.

Tuesday its Tea at Tracey's
I am baking a victoria sponge to eat with a cuppa.  Please, do call in for a drink and a look at the new catalogues.  You can take your own copy away with you as Sale a Bration begins as well as the new Spring / Summer catalogue.  If you are local to Alavaston, Derby come along for a crafty chat, it really would be lovely to see you.

Later in the week there is Journalling Thursday and Friday sees the first of the Christmas Card Club but more about those later in the week.

Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for having a read.

Friday

Busy Friday - Day 2

I love this quote, good morning on this Friday which is rather a warm one.

Paul is digging out around the base of his new garage today.  He is well wrapped up and looking forward to his day, he says.

Me, well I am going to be finishing off some thank you cards as I have a little order arriving at some time today, oh yes, that was quick.  Stamperettes take note......

I am also going to collect some fresh eggs from a lady who doesnt live too far away.  I am going to try to purchase as much fresh veg and eggs from local sources that I can, for 2015.  If people grow their own and have too much, I am happy to buy it but not at an overinflated price.  Hopefully, I will have a go at growing my own at some stage this year, when we can get the "shambles" ready for the greenhouse and tubs.

I nearly forgot to tell you about the weekly deals for this week

If you would like anything, do please let me know, my next order is going in on Tuesday 6th January, speaking of which.  I have a Tuesday at Tracey's on Tuesday.  This is where you pop in for a cuppa, a crafty chat and catch up.  It would be lovely to see you.  Tuesday is also the day that the new Spring Catalogue comes out, as well as Sale a Bration.  If you cant wait till Tuesday, I am taking pre-orders.....exciting.

Have a lovely day and thanks for the visit

Thursday

Happy 2015 - Day 1

Wishing everyone who reads this, a very Happy New Year.   I would like to thank you, my blog readers,  so much for all your support last year with everything that I did and went through.  I am really looking forward to wonderful year.

If you are local to Derby and if you have half an hour to spare, or a bit longer, why not call round for a cuppa next Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday evening.  I will bake a cake or two and we can all have a natter and a catch up.  Give me a ring or contact me if you dont have my address and we can all start the New Year with a Crafty Catch up.

I read this rhyme and thought it was perfect and I can relate to it, can you?

I started out with just one topper, and then I bought some more
I decided that a shoebox would make an ideal store
Then as I added inks & pens, my craft collection grew
So I bought a roomy plastic crate, it would last for years, I knew
Embossing then became my thing, with powder & a heat gun
Metallics, tinsels, pearls & clear, I soon had everyone
By now my lovely plastic crate was spilling everywhere
And my glitter glue collection lay scattered on a chair
My husband started muttering and said things had to stop
So I bought a huge old wardrobe at the local charity shop
But after a while, I couldn't shut the door
And I put shelves in the spare room to accommodate yet more
Our house is now for sale, something larger being sought
By the way, did I show you, the latest stamp I bought!

Today we are having mum and dad round for lunch and then the grandchildren will call in this afternoon so, I am baking.  Hope to make a lemon cake, victoria sponge, fruit cake and some nutella pastries.  The diet starts on Saturday and Paul is joining in too.  So many people on the tv have lost weight so we thought we would give it a serious try as well.

Dont forget there is a scrapbooking session on Saturday in the crafty space, you are most welcome to join us, still lots of room.  Why not just come along to see what its about?

Have a lovely day

Wednesday

Last one for 2014

Its my last post for 2014 with the new year just around the corner.

We are having a busy few days as we have just about finished our bedroom.  We have been painting and glossing, turning up nets and still looking for curtains.  New bedding on the bed, new decoration bits and pieces out etc.  We have discovered that the wooden window sill in so damp, mould growing underneath it that I will have to clean it all down, every other day for a few weeks until it is all clean but never mind, I can do that.  One of the window panes have 'blown' but it will have to stay like this until we replace the windows in the sitting room.  Just got to put up a few more pictures and clean the carpet and it will be done.

Christiana, in Cyprus, has been baking which is so difficult for her.  I am hoping to buy her a mixer to make life a little easier, something like a kenwood on a stand.  At the moment these are 400 euros so she is looking for something else.

No. 29#MY100HAPPYDAYS is this wonderful ornament that I was lucky enough to receive this Christmas.  Thank you so much Ruth, it is stunning and will be going on my tree for many years to come.  I just love this idea.

No. 30#MY100HAPPYDAYS is Paul as he has made me so happy spending hours with me getting the bedroom ready to decorate.

No. 31#MY100HAPPYDAYS is the feeling I got when this was all finished and ready to go.  It is a birthday card for my neice.

I received another handmade Christmas Card that was hand delivered?? Not too sure how I got it but its lovely.

Fancy a day of Scrapbooking in the Alvaston, Derby area?  Not sure what it is?  Why not come along and see for yourself.  Do you have a scrapbook started and would like to do a few more pages?  Saturday 3rd January 10ish till 4ish come for the morning, for the afternoon or stay for the day.  You will need to bring all your own card, photos etc. with you.  I do have a big shot and lots of dies if you would like to make some additional embellishments.  You dont have to book but please, do get in touch if you need details of the address.  Its just £1 per person for the tea and biscuit kitty.

Thanks for having a read on the last day of this year and I hope you have a wonderful day, what ever you are up to.

Monday
