Tuesday

Winter arrived in Derby

Good morning and another cold start to the day.  That doesn't matter as long as you are snug and warm inside.  So we had snow over the weekend and how wonderful it all looks.

We managed to get quite a few photographs this time, very unusal for us. Here is one I captured

Paul cleared a path from the back of our house to my craft room bless him.  He then put salt down so I had no fear of it freezing over.  He is a keeper.  I will add that he also cleared a path for the postman (for SU orders), a path to his garage and to the rubbish bins.  Maybe I ought to buy him a snow shovel?  We have more snow forecast at the weekend again but that is after a warm Thursday of 9 degrees.  I dont usually bother with the weather forecast as it is all a bit hit and miss.

Today we were hoping to get out and have a walk to the post box but by listening to the advice of folk that have already ventured out, I am staying put.  It sounds very slippey and dangerous outside and I dont need to take any risks.

So my days have been spent making cards and what a lovely time I have had. I have discovered that by limiting my time in the craft room I am more productive.  I know it may sound strange but its working for me, I have a couple of hours in an afternoon and an hour in the evening.  The craft room is clean, there are cards already made for February and I am just making some 'Welcome to the Team' cards.

I did make this card ready for Spring, it just needs a sentimen.  It is an older stamp and it hasnt seen too much use...oppps

And then I made this as I had my Stampin' Up! water colours out and the blending brushes. I realised that I dont have too many masculine cards so I need to change that.

No matter what stamp set you are using, the blending brushes, inks and watercolour pencils work with them.  I have used Stampin' Up! Shimmery White card as its just perfect for creating my cards in this way.  I do love watercoloured paper too but the Shimmery White leaves a lovely shine to the finished card when it catches in the light.

I have listed below the Stampin' Up! products I have used for these cards but if you would like more details, please do get in touch with me as I really am, always happy to help.  If you would like to purchase any of the products, now is an ideal time as Stampin' Up! have a promotion called Sale a Bration.  Every time you spend £45 you can pick something FREE out of the Sale a Bration brochure.  If you click on the CATALOGUES section above, you can see what free items you can choose.  By clicking on the Shop Here link below, you can place your own order to come direct to your house or if you are local to me, I can order it for you and you are more than welcome to collect (at a safe distance of course).

Thank you for having a read today and I hope you have a terrific Tuesday.  Tracey x
