Oh Happy Day

Good morning Saturday.  I was up at 5.30am due to excitement of getting craft room cleaned so by 6am I was in there, making a start.  As the weather is going to be in the 20's today (sorry Jackie), I thought I would have an early start and hopefully I can get to sit in the sunshine this afternoon.

Well the bathroom has been more or less finished.  I love it

 However, I will not recommend the people that installed it to anyone and, when chappie comes back next week, I shall be telling him....

I am so lucky to have this in the garden and the tree is lucky to be here because when we moved in, we thought it was dead and we nearly cut it down, phew.

What are you doing Monday night?  The new Magazine Make Monday is going to start.  I have a lot of magazines that I want to keep as there is something in them that I want to make but, as usual, I dont have time so now I have made the time.  I shall be in the craft room making items from magazines that could be up to 12 years old oops.  If you have a magazine and bits that you would like to make, why not join me from 6ish until 10ish on Monday night.  There are places for around 10 of us and so far there are 4 so you will be most welcome.  Lots of crafty chatter, cakes and laughter are guaranteed.

I shall be placing a Stampin' Up! order tomorrow evening.  If there is anything that you want please do let me know.  If you havent got a catalogue yet, I do have a couple for sale and I am happy to post them out if you cant nip over to collect.

Happy New Catalogue

Good morning and what a soggy one it is.  I am not at work today so I am going to try and catch up on a few bits and pieces as well as finish off a few wedding cards

Thankfully yesterday we got into the doctors with Christiana, again.  More antibiotics, a different painkiller, shower gel that is medicated as well as a special shampoo.  Plasters for her ulcers and cream to collect tomorrow, phew.  We then went out to the lodge for tea, a bit of fresh air and a walk does everyone the world of good.

This has now been claimed.  It was Pam who lives just around the corner from me who came along with 3 friends on the day.  One very happy lady.

The Quiz and a prize of a free craft class will be announced tomorow as one or two ladies have asked for a little extra time, they keep getting distracted by all the new items in the catalogue.

So today is the day that you can order from the brand new Stampin' Up! Good morning and the forecast is for winds and  rain this afternoon.

We were hoping to go to Sea life today but instead, I have to see if I can get I can get Christiana back in to the doctors.  She really is still suffering so fingers crossed, I will let you know how I get on.  Then, if she is well enough, we are off to Next Home and then Dunelm.

Today is the very last day to order Stampin' Up! goodies from the 2015 - 2016 catalogue.  If there is anything that you need, at all, just let me know before 4pm because I have a very little order to go in for a friend who forgot to ask for some card.  HERE is the link to what you can buy.

We had a wonderful time out at Sinfin Moor Nature Reserve yesterday afternoon, starting with a cake and cuppa for Christiana, Paul and I had a bacon buttie and my, how tasty it was too.  We are thinking of going again on their Saturday morning opening so if you fancy meeting up for a cuppa and sarnie, watch this space and I will tell you when it will be. 

 The swing was there, empty and you just have to dont you. 

There is a whole nature reserve to walk round, we didnt manage much but we will do a little more next time.

Here is the stand Paul has made for my replanted tomatoes to grow up. It is also set up for a watering system which we need to put in over the next couple of weeks.

 Yes those are my potato plants at the back, being supported by a table and bin *giggling*, well they keep drooping.

 And of course I got Christiana to keep me company whilst I was watering and she was getting some heat.

All in all another lovely day and one I think, I will scrapbook.

A card I have made ready for 19th June.  Just look at the new banner.  It is a stamp set and a punch and it is just perfect.  I think this will be my new favourite crafting item to go with everything.  This is available to purchase tomorrow.

I had best get a move on, the workmen will be here very soon to continue with the bathroom work, photos to share on that tomorrow.

Merry Monday No 22

Good morning on this Bank Holiday.  Dull outside but not cold. Achy feet today and right knee but we shall put up with that.

Yesterday was a complete pottering day with visits from the family and then later, to the family, if you know what I mean.  After cooking the Sunday lunch we did manage to plant up the very old but newly painted corner plant pots and get the bathroom ceiling painted for the second time too as well as lots of other bits and bobs sorted. 

Christiana is still suffering with her ears and if there is no improvement today, we are going back to the docs tomorrow. I just feel so helpless not being able to do anything for her, as all mums must feel when their little ones are suffering. Yes she is 30 but sill my little one *giggle*

As usual on a Monday, it is a Merry one and here is a lovely card we received at Christmas from Liz K.

Today we are off for a bacon buttie at Sinfin Nature Reserve.  I didnt know we had one so we are all off for a bit of fresh air and hopefully it will stay dry.

I received some wonderful smelly bits in this tin at Christmas and just adore the tin (and the contents of course). 

 So when we made this card on Saturday at the open house, it just goes so well with the tin. 

 

It has been made using Tip Top Taupe ink together with one of the new In Colour  Peekaboo Peach. The Stamp Set we used was the Number of Years, just some of the flower stamps.  You will see this card in the new Annual Catalogue, which I think is so fresh and lovely.  Here are the inserts.

I will go get a wiggle on and get sorted for my morning stroll.  I am home all afternoon if you fancy a cuppa and to have a look through the new catalogue.  If you need my address, just let me know.

Lucky Number 475

Good morning from a warm Derby.  Not sure if we are going to have showers or not, weather forecast keeps changing.  Did you hear about the lightening storms in Europe, goodness me, not nice.

Yesterday at my Open House was smashing, we had a wonderful day, over 30 ladies and two little girls came along.  Lots of chatter and laughter, cards made, froggies made and we said goodbye to some favourites in the Stampin' Up! book.

We also had a good look through the new Annual Catalogue and it really is a WOW.  Lots of lovely pages with new colours and fresh ideas and I cant wait to get started with them.  If you haven't got a catalogue I do have some available to purchase and I am happy to post them out at cost too.

Grateful Bunch

Good morning and what a good morning it is.

Already there are 3 workmen and an electrician working in the bathroom but they will be here for another 7 days, crumbs I will smell at the end of it all.

Christiana is feeling a little better today, still has a lot of ear pain but not quite as bad as previous days.  I took her tea in bed, bless

Here is a card that we made during the last crafty week and matching envelope.  We used the grateful bunch stamp set and matching punch which is all being carried over to the new catalogue so if you would like to have a go at making this card, please get in touch.

We used the same die on the envelope flap that we used on the card panel.  It looks very impressive but it has to be done gently otherwise you rip the envelope.

I hope to get back in the craft room today to do a few bits after I have been to the hospital again, yikes.  Hands, feet and wrists all working well today, which is great news.

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning on this Tuesday, which I feel is going to be a good one.  The sun is shining and although I have a few aches in my right wrist and elbow today, I can cope with it.

It was Beth's birthday yesterday and she was 16 years old,  where does the time go.

She is really into her trainers at the moment so I thought this card was quite apt. It is a woodware stamp and the little money envelope is made with a penny black rabbit and of course the SU envelope maker. 

We had to have an emergency appointment with the doctor yesterday and Christiana is now on antibiotics so I hope that she picks up over the next day or two, it is such a worry especially with everything else she has to deal with.  The receptionist at the doc said there were no appointments until Thursday even though I said it was urgent.  Oh well, at least we got sorted.

We dont have a lot is happening today except  I hope to spend some time in the craft room this afternoon.  I still have lots of tomato plants so I thought I would put a sign on the gate selling them for 50p each to see what happens, as suggested by friends.

The workman are expected in about half an hour and they have already warned me that there will not be any water for most of the day so I do hope I have filled up enough bottles.

Well worth it though.

Although the garden isnt great at the front, we do have lots of flowers coming through.  I picked these yesterday

I will see if I can find a few more today.

Paul and I need to spend at least an hour a day on the garden but at the moment, with my hands being the way they are, I dont want to overdo thing.

Merry Monday 21

Good evening.  I had intended sorting this post out this morning but at 7.30 our new bathroom turned up.  I know I said early but really, that early?  So chappie had to unload it all into the conservatory...now a bathroom showroom.  It is a good job Paul was at home to help sort it out.

Yesterday was a mixed bag of a day.  Christiana has been feeling not so good for a few days, sore throat, sore ear and headache.  She has had this before but a few pain killers and it past but not this time.  She has been in agony all night so we went to the walk in center, which was very good.  They saw her within the hour and told her no infections so just pain killers.

Then Paul took us to Sawly Marina for some fresh air, bless him.  This was followed by some greenhouse work and a TV evening with Britains got talent.  Today she was a lot worse so we made an emergency appointment at the docs.  She has an infection and needs antibiotics ....poor thing.  So we got her those and Paul took us to the crem for some fresh air and to put a few flowers down for Mum in Laws birthday.  The sun was shining and it was really refreshing.  Unfortunately my right hand has been playing up today so I havent managed to do a lot.

At 8.30 bathroom chappies arrived, all 4 of them, gulp, we wasnt expecting that.  The have ripped out my old bathroom, literally.  There is still the door into the bathroom from the kitchen and the previous owners had even tiled over a mirror that was on the door.

We then discovered that one of the joists under the bathroom floor is rotten. 
 
It has just crumpled away so we have to have a new joist and a new bathroom floor, something we werent expecting at all. They are due back again tomorrow.

Tomorrow is another day so now it is time to organise some food and I think I will put on my pjs and hopefully I will wake up and my hand will be a lot easier.

Sunny Sunday

Good morning and what a lovely morning it is outside.  The sun is shining, very little wind and it is so peaceful and quiet, wonderful.

A few aches and pains today, fingers, 3 toes and right shoulder but I think I can cope with those.  I am hoping to go out for a walk with Paul and Christiana to the Crem, to get some fresh air, put a few flowers down and blow off the cobwebs.

Here is the peg bag that I made for my sister as part of her birthday presents.  Thanks to Alyson for showing me how to make these.

 The Anniversary card for my sister and brother in law as they celebrate their anniversary on the same day as sister's birthday.

 A bit of an update on my tree,  the long stemmed flowers have started to appear and it is looking lovely now.

 

Lots of family and friends visited yesterday, which is always nice.  I managed to finish a couple of cards off for the box and also with a lot of help, get a few more things organised for Saturday.

Invites will be sent today but if you dont get one via email or facebook etc. please, do feel free to pop in next Saturday anytime from 9 - 5.  Let me know if you would like the address.

There will be cake, tea / coffee, raffles, a quiz, lots of sale items, samples to look at as well as some crafting. 

Crafting sessions on the day will take place at 9.30, 11.00, 1.00, 2.30 and 4.00.

The raffle prize will be drawn after the 4.00 crafting session.

The new Annual Catalogue will be available to purchase whilst stock lasts or we can place an order on the day.
