Happy Anniversary

Yesterday after work I came home and set to on the chores.  I didnt do the conservatory though as it was a boiling 48 degrees in there

A job to do this morning before the sun comes out.

I also managed to get to the library to change my books, which was an experience. I went to a different one and the ladies were extremely helpful.  Got home only to find that one of the books I have already read but never mind, I can soon change it.

Started the clean up of crafty space but didnt get too far with it all.....I got distracted, opps, as  you do.  I am so pleased that I went to bed early though as we had a storm of storms.  The last time I heard so much thunder and saw so much lightening I lived in Cyprus, goodness.  And the rain, wow, it sounded as though it was coming into the house so up I got and had a check around phew.

Today is the anniversary of our move here, yes a whole year, now that went quickly.  We have managed to get a lovely craft room built and kitted out.  Our bedroom is finished apart from curtains and carpets and the everything room (bedroom and study) needs carpets and computers put in there.  We have a brand new downstairs loo and Pauls garage is finished.  Trees have gone, plants are in phew, not bad for a year.  And every morning when I wake up I still feel as though I am on holiday, wonderful.

Today around 10am I am off to the crafty space for the day.  We are going to try to make an album similar to the one I made in May, I shall show you the results later in the week.

Here are a few thank you cards that I have made for the month of July, I have done them in two colours and here are the pinky ones.

If you fancy a coffee and a catch up, you are welcome today and if you know how to make albums, even more so.  Thanks for having a read and have a lovely Saturday.

Friday

Happy Birthday Amy

Good morning from a slightly cooler Derby.  I know I like the heat but phew.....it is a little too much when you have to work in it.  If I was on holiday and could sit and read a book I wouldnt mind. I fully appreciate that not everyone likes it hot and I am so pleased that my crafty space has a couple of windows that can be opened, creating a breeze.

The weekly deal that came out on Wednesday was so good that most of the items have already SOLD OUT, first time I have encountered that.  There are still quite a few bargains on the clearance rack though, especially the papers.  My next order will be going in on Sunday so if you would like anything, please do let me know.

Tomorrow I shall be in the crafty space all day, trying to make an album.  If you fancy a coffee, a natter or would like to offer advise on how to make said album, please do feel free to call in.  I have received a few SU orders too and you are most welcome to come to collect, I am still waiting for a few others as well.  There appears to have been some industrial action, not the fault of UPS, which came up on my delivery tracker?

It is Amy's birthday today (Grandaughter no. 3) and she is 10.  I had a smashing time decorating a bag, making a gift envelope for her ££s, as well as making a tag and a card, all matching.

I have been thinking that I havent had a lot of me time lately but making all these certainly was great.  It does mean I have a lot of cleaning to do this afternoon and evening though, oops.  I cant believe the mess in the craft I made just from one afternoon of crafting.

I hope you start your weekend off with a lovely Friday and thanks for having a read Tracey x

Wednesday

Hot deals, hot weather and hot cards

Another Wednesday and another month, July and Summer goodness.  Phew it was hot yesterday.  Paul and I decided to try to do a bit more gardening but we didnt get too much done, it was too hot even in the shade with a a breeze.  Never mind, I shall try again at the weekend when it is due to be cooler.

We had a visitor for breakfast yesterday, it even brought its own breakfast

It took ages for it to go out of the conservatory.  We decided in the end that it was a baby blackbird, awwwww.

We had a square time last week making these cards and tags.  Something totally different.  Using the new 'thicker' Whisper White card is a dream.

Its wonderful how we all have the same products yet the cards come out so differently.

WEEKLY DEALS this week are below.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Good morning and its going to be a hot one today, which is fine by me.

I have a few plans for today including the last of the washing and ironing, well it has to be done,  a start to securing drawers in the crafty space and a general dust down and clean up in there this week.

LAST DAY TODAY to get your £130 worth of goodies of your choice plus 2 FREE stamps for £99 from Stampin' Up!  Call me after 12 on 01332 721877 if you would like a little more information and, you dont have to live in Derby to do this.

Yesterday I was late finishing work again which will be the pattern for the whole week.  I then came home, sorted out tea and grabbed an hour with Liz.  No stamperettes party this month but hopefully there will be one at the end of July.

Here is one of the cards everyone made last week, along with a little tag

Love this set, Basic Butterfly and together with the butterfly dies, its just perfect.  I cant wait to finish off all the kits I have ready to replicate this card, I think that may be Thursdays job.

We are in the process of staining and protecting the new gates that are going on the other drive we have, yes we have two drive ways.  We purchased the gates back in January when they were half price and they have been in the conservatory for the past 6 months but hay, you got to save where you can.

First protective coat on, will do another tomorrow.  Then these will be put up at the end of the week, its getting exciting but messy at the Anthony's.
Time to have another de weeding session again today, if we do so much each day it keeps the pesky blighters at bay but just look at this.

I was given this as a housewarming present a year ago (this weekend it will be a year since we moved in).  It has lots of lovely yellow buds and I cant wait for them to open.

Well I have had a lazy start to the day so I had best go and get myself sorted, thanks for having a read and dont forget, last day to get all those goodies.

Have a great day x

Monday

Magic Monday Morning

Katerina got her uni results last night.  After 4 years of hard work, lots of laughter and some tears she got a fantastic 2:2 English Law Degree. I think it is brilliant especially as English is her second language, I am so very very proud of her, said with a tear in my eye, a great way to start the week.

Although we are starting the week, we are ending the month.  If joining Stampin' Up! is something you have been thinking of doing, NOW really is the right time.

Pay £99 and you get to choose products worth £130
2 free stamp sets of your choice
£45 worth of demonstrator products

Please do give me a call or if you prefer to pop round this afternoon or evening for a cuppa,  I can tell you a bit more about it.  Even if you do this just for you without intending to demonstrate at parties or shows, WOW what an offer.  It is not everyday that you get at least £50 of stamping products for nothing.

Here is a card that I made last week, which hopefully has already been received.

I made it with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Butterflies Thinlet dies.  These can be purchased as a bundle saving 15%.   Here is another card made with the same set that is on page 124 of the idea catalogue

Spent a couple of hours at mums yesterday, we had belated birthday cake to celebrate her birthday and Ollies birthday.  It was lovely for us all to get together and catch up, sis and brother in law were there as were my nieces and the children.  I got to grab onto Charleigh for a while which was super.

Even if she did give Paul a few strange looks, I cant image what she was thinking when this was taken.

Late afternoon saw me giving the crafty space its weekly clean and then I had a couple of super visitors and spent the hour nattering away, as you do.  I was told that if I cut the flowers from my sweet peas I will get more flowers, which I didnt know so I listened to the advice and here some of them are.

I just wish I could bottle up that smell and share it with you all, its wonderful

Well thank you for having a read today, I have gone on a little bit, its all the excitement.  Now I do have to go and get showered and ready for a morning at work.  Wishing you a wonderful Monday and dont forget, if you would like to find out more about getting all those SU freebies, do get in touch.

Sunday

Another Soggy Sunday?

The noise of the rain and thunder woke me up at 4.30am today so this afternoon I really will need a nap.  Mind you getting up early does have its benefits as I have got quite a few chores done already.

I have had a lovely week crafting and hope the ladies that have crafted with me have had an enjoyable time too.

These are the little packages I made up for everyone that came along to crafty week with something sweet inside.

As dad wasnt around at Fathers Day we celebrated his day last Thursday and here is the card that I made for him.
Do you fancy an evening with a tin of cards project?

You get a tin plus all the cards and accessories to complete 16 cards, use of the matching stamp set and inks, plus all the other stamps on hand, should you need them.  On Wednesday 15th July I have a couple of places spare in the crafty space if you fancy coming along.  The price is £26.50 which includes the tin and card kit, the class with cakes, refreshments etc.  If you would like more information, please do get in touch.

Nothing crafty now for a couple of weeks so its time to give the crafty space a good cleaning out, dusting down and fix things in place.  All my drawers need securing and going through, lots of little bits and pieces to finish off and time to get ready for the next couple of months events so that I know what I am supposed to be doing. I love getting organised.

Today its ironing and washing and generally getting everything ready for Pauls next trip away which is in a few days time.  Thanks for having a read, hope you stay dry x

Wednesday

Happy Birthday Steve

A lovely chappie at work celebrates his birthday today.

He is a big Derby County Supporter so I made him this

Today is also the day for the new Weekly Deals

I shall be putting my next order in on Sunday, should you wish to purchase anything do please let me know.  If you have any queries or questions about Stampin' Up! or crafting in general, I would love to help if I can.  Dont have your own local demonstrator?  I would love to be yours if you are looking for someone?  I have a wonderful crafty space that I am really happy to share so please do get in touch.

The downstairs loo is coming along quite nicely.  We cant plaster the walls until the new bathroom gets started but its all coming along nicely.

Just look at this cheeky chappie

I caught him asleep on Saturday morning and he is really large.  He has also been sleeping in my flower beds tut tut.

Right, I had best go and get the crafty space all cleaned up ready for the next get together.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you all, a lovely day, thanks for having a read.

Monday

Twit Twoo

Good morning Monday, going to be a bit of alsorts weatherwise, on this, the first day of Summer, never mind.

Yesterday I spent the day doing so many little things, finished nothing but hopefully, final touches today and everything will get finished phew.

I tried to get to a local village fate but was turned away as the road was closed/busy a chappy told me.  He gave me directions to get into the village another way, so off I go.  I got lost.  I eventually went where I thought I should be going only to be told that the road was busy, I need to park up and walk the next 10 - 15 minutes huh?  I couldnt walk that far so I was really sad to have to turn around and drive home.  I will be better prepared next year.

There have been a couple of birthdays last week too.  So I got a little creative, twit twoo. Loved making these cards and because I showed them to a couple of people, I have orders to make 6 more, whooppee.  I shall get busy making them next weekend.

Yestdrday I got nearly everything ready for crafty week this week.  I have 4 spaces available on Friday so if you feel like starting your weekend with a card making class, it would be lovely to see you.  We shall make two cards, a couple of tags and who knows what else.  Just get in touch and I can book your place.

Well I had best get a wiggle on, I dont want to be late.  Thanks for having a read and have a fantastic Monday x
