Sunday

Full of cold

Good morning, not up quite so early today.  6 degrees outside and it is forecast to be a damp day.

I was in bed before 10pm last night with Vicks rubbed onto my back and my chest, a hot cup of tea and a packet of tissues.  I have a cold and I always feel worse at night, drat.  I do hope I can get rid of it before Thursday as I go for my injection training.  Yes, I have 2 sessions of training on how to inject myself and if I have a cold, I dont know if they will do it.  It is only a cold as I have had the flu injection.....

Yesterday Paul took me to Nottingham for a wander and to do a bit of shopping.  Oh my, we were pushed, pulled and knocked for six.  I think the whole of Nottingham must have been out too.  We only managed a couple of shops due to the amount of people around but it was nice.

Today I am finishing off family Christmas cards and making a few birthday cards as some special people have birthdays this week.  Paul and I will cook a Sunday lunch between us and then hopefully, later in the day, I can get up some Christmas decorations, depending on how I feel.

Here are a some more of the Christmas cards I have made this year.

Starting the cards in January really is a great idea and, if you wish to come along to make your own, you are more than welcome.

Thanks for having a read, wishing you a wonderful Sunday x

Saturday

Rockin Robins

Good morning, no plans today because they all get broken so I shall take the day as it comes. Up at just after 5am, not sure why so going to start the day slowly.

Yesterday I had 4 lots of visitors which was lovely.  It is always nice to sit and chat to everyone, finding out news and just catching up.

The Christmas card club for 2016 has finished and I have been putting some finishing touches to my cards.  Here is one of them that will soon be written and posted.

I certainly have a variety of cards and I have some new dates for next year.  If you fancy joining in, please let me know.

The taxi driver that picked the girls up on Wednesday morning left his parcel shelf and other bits and pieces from his car here, saying he would come back on Thursday for them.  Well we havent seen anything of him so I guess I am going to have to go to chase him up, I dont really want to have to decorate car parts that are in my hall for Christmas.

Off to make tea, I hope you have a lovely day today and thank you for having a read x

Friday

Oh what a treat

Good morning and wow, it is warm again outside.  I got up around 6am and it was 11 degrees which really is wonderful.  It is cloudy and a bit of drizzle at the moment but that isnt a complaint from me, I can cope with this type of Winter weather.  Do you know that last night Derby was warmer than Cyprus....

Speaking of last night, lots of lovely creations made, cards, hats, treat bags etc. etc.  We had a lovely evening.

Sending hellos and *waving frantically* to Sandi. Thanks for having a read x

Last night I finished off the treat bags for the children in our family.  Instead of buying selection boxes I buy a few sweets

I use the wonderful cello bags with a gusset from Stampin' Up!
I put the sweets and the chocolate in the bags and then wrap them in tissue paper.
I stick the bottom of the tissue paper with sticky tape and then pop them all in a little bag (from Ikea)
Put a bit of ribbon around the tops and we have some little treat bags.  I shall do the same for the older children but I put a little box of celebrations in them.

Today, after a few chores it is back in the craft room to finish off some more cards so that tonight we can write out the last ones and get everything posted / delivered tomorrow.

I have got a couple of lovely new and wonderful stamp sets from the Sale a Bration and Spring catalogue.  I have also got the catalogues......I am so excited about these that I hope to have a play later today so, if you are in the area and fancy a cuppa, please do pop in.

FUDDLE NEXT WEEK - It would be great if you could come along to join us.  To find out more, please get in touch.

Thanks for having a read an I hope you are underway with your Christmas preperations.  x

Wednesday

A quiet day

Good morning and phew, its a bit warm out there.  10 degrees at 5am, that is a big difference from the past few days.

And what a wonderful past few days it has been.  The girls arrived, the whole house turned into a teenages bedroom, there were clothes everywhere, the washer on constantly, laughter and chatter was non stop.  But now it is empty and quiet.  Unfortunately the girls left in a whirlwind first thing this morning, earlier than expected and now they are on their way to the airport.  I think I will need a month to get over it all......but how wonderful it has been.  My little girls have grown up.

Absolutely nothing has happened on the crafty side of things.....really, nothing but this afternoon I hope to get things back on track.

Tomorrow there is a christmas card and chatter get together, the last for this year and something I am really looking forward to. If you fancy joining me and other likeminded crafters please do get in touch, you will be made to feel more than welcome.

Here are some gingerbread folk I made a couple of weeks ago.  I have typed recipients name onto vanilla card and just stuck it inside the pockets.
It is a big sizzix die and I created the dress and waistcoat from a little trial and error.  Once I was happy with the dress and waistcoat I made myself a little template, so that I dont have to do it all again. It was something Pam and I saw on one of our days out and I just knew that I had to make some.

Well I have some cleaning to do today and I need to cheer myself up a bit so it off to make another cuppa and start.......Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful Wednesday x

Thursday

Wednesday

Happy Birthday Hollie

Good morning, everywhere is all frosty and white outside, looks lovely.

Yesterday hubby took us to the cinema to see Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. Oh WOW it was amazing. We saw it in 3 D which made it even more special.  Loved it, when is the next one out.

Today is our youngest grand daughters birthday, she is 10.

I do hope she likes her card and pressies.

The twins arrive today so it is going to be a busy day.  I am also expecting an order from SU, which is super duper quick.  I guess I will be getting some help with making some thank you cards opps.

Fingers are not the best today so wishing you a wonderful day and hope you stay warm x

Tuesday

Brrrrr

Good morning, a cold one but a good one.  It was -2 degrees when I got up and everywhere outside was lovely and crisp.  Chrisitiana is not enjoying this weather as it means it is too cold for her to go out brrrrr.

It was my neices son's birthday yesterday and here is a card that I made and sent over to Cyprus.  I cant believe that he is 4 years old already, time certainly does fly.

A couple of good bits of news.....Katerina has passed the bar exams in Cyprus, whoop whoop.  So now we shall see where life will take her.  Sophia has got herself a job as a social worker which is what she has studied for.  It is a 9 month contract, 7 months paid for by an EU scheme and 2 months paid for by the local council.  Normally, after the placement finishes, most people are offered a permanent role so again whoop whoop.  Both girls are currently in the UK and will be with us tomorrow.  A busy couple of weeks ahead, how wonderful.

Tomorrow is the last chance to get one of these bargains

I went for more blood tests yesterday.  I have to wait until all signs of infection are gone before re commencing with the methotrexate.  Fingers crossed that we can do something soon as it is becoming a bit of a struggle to use my hands again....opps.

Well I had best get a wriggle on as a few bits and pieces to do..... Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day.  Tracey x

Sunday

Night of Navy

Good afternoon, brr it is a chilly one out there.  Sunday lunch is cooking, the washing has all been done and the chores are finished for the day.  Fingers crossed after lunch I can get into the craft room for a while, a few projects to finish.

Here are another couple of cards we did on 'pen club' night.

It is an Art Impression stamp, one I have had for a very long time.  Teamed it up with Night of Navy pen, ribbon and card.  A lot of glitter on the star but not showing up too much.

Tomorrow is the last chance to grab yourself a bargain from SU.  If you would like to order anything, please do it through my online shop or, if you let me know what you want before 8pm this evening, I will order it for you.

Off to help Santa.....thanks for having a read and have a lovely afternoon.

Friday

The end of the week

Good morning, Winter really has arrived brrrr.  I do like Winter, coming into a warm house, having tea and toast, getting a thick jumper on and just snuggling on the sofa......

Stampin' Up! are in the middle of a wonderful Sale.  Please click HERE and HERE for some smashing offers and, if you would like to order them through me, just let me know what you would like by Monday morning.  I shall be placing my last order for the month.

I managed to get out for some fresh air earlier in the week and boy, I did need it.  At the same time Chrisitana found herself a pair of lovely boots so we purchased them.  Got home and went to show Paul the boots, they had put shoes in the box instead grrrr so we had to go back to the shop again to sort it out, which we did the following day

This week we have spent another day at the hospital *waving to Liz* who I saw there.  It may be an idea for us ladies to start meeting at the hospital for a coffee, we all seem to spend a fair bit of time there these days *giggles*.

I have had lots of lovely visitors too, thank you so much for the flowers.  My house looks and smells like a florist, it is beautiful.  It is so nice to know that I have such wonderful friends......

Today I hope to catch up on messages, emails as well as lots of other bits and pieces.  I just get so tired so that I am struggling to keep on top of everything but does it really matter?  I guess not.  If I dont finish things today, there is always tomorrow......

We all met for the pen club last night.  This is where 6 ladies purchase ALL THE STAMPIN' UP! PENS over a 6 month period.  It costs £20 a month, as well as the pens you get the carry case box, all the catalogues and you are hostess for one month.  On top of that, there are 3 classes showing different ways of using the pens.  It has been really good and here are what we made last night.

I shall be starting another Pen Club in February so, if this is something you are interest in please, do let me know, the spaces fill up really quickly.

I am sending out emails / messages about the Christmas Fuddle today.  This will take place on Friday 16th December from 6pm ish onwards.  If you fancy coming along please do let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day x

Monday

Wet and Soggy Monday

Good morning and another start to another week, lets hope that this week isnt as full of mishaps as last week was, fingers crossed.  The weather is really wet and windy out there so I will put on my raincoat.  Nothing stopping me from a breath of fresh air this morning - polly positive.

I hope to go out of the house this morning for a couple of hours and then it will be the rest of the day and evening in the craft room.  Christiana and I really must get the Christmas cards put into some kind of order. It is a nice and relaxing thing to do so I believe it will do me some good.

Here is a wonderful card I recently received.

In a world of text messages, emails and face book messages, it really is lovely to get a snail mail card.  I sent some cards out a couple of weeks ago, just to say hello and I shall be sending a few more out this week.

The stampin Up Sale has begun whoop whoop.  If you havent ordered on line before, it really is very easy, once you have set up an account.  If you put me down as your demonstrator, I shall send you a little something in the post once your order has been received.  The hostess code is

JAHHDUBV

There is a space for you to add this before you actually submit your order but, if you do need a hand please, do get in touch with me as I shall be really happy to help you.

Thanks for having a read and wishing you a lovely day, despite the weather x

Sunday

Pretty Packaging from Telford

Good morning and what awful weather.  We were hoping to go and feed the ducks today but it is so wet and windy in Derby, yikes.

On Tuesday I woke up with the taste of salt in my mouth, this continued to Thursday and on Friday, it was cinnemon.  My tongue is swollen, lips dry and lips are split in both corners.  So it is E45 on the corners of my mouth, gel on the lips in the hopes that it will relieve so of the discomfort.  Today I woke up and all I can taste is ginger.  How odd all this is but it seems that 1 in a million people who take the tablets I am taking get problems with all the little tastebuds on their tongue.  Trust me to be that one *giggles*  I am only these for 28 days so I will put up with it.

Still lots more to share with you.

Right, off to potter and prepare a Sunday lunch, with lots of help.  Thanks for having a read and, if you fancy some card making tomorrow, Christiana and I will be in the craft room all do, pop over for a cuppa and a catch up.

DONT FORGET if you would like anything from the Stampin' Up! Sales tomorrow, please let me know later today......lots of bargains

Saturday

Quick Update

Good evening.  I went away last Friday for a weekend of crafting at Sir Stampalot, took ill on Saturday morning and ended up spending 5 days in hospital.  It doesnt sound so bad when you say it quickly.  Hopefully I am on the road to recovery now.  We really are very lucky to have the NHS, well, that is my opinion.

On the Rhumertoid Arthiritis front, not on any medication but the dizzy spells have stopped (ssshhh).  Obviously I cant do anything about restarting the methotrexate until all my blood results come back as normal but, I will be giving them a call on Monday to let them know how I am.

No crafting done but I can show you these that I made last Friday night, it seems such a long time ago.

Stampin' Up! are having a sale which starts with a flash sale on Monday.

This is then followed by a week long sale, ending with another flash sale on Friday.

To see a full list, click HERE  I believe that I may start to order from tomorrow at 11.00am.  If you would like me to try and order any of these items, please let me know sometime tomorrow and I shall see what I can do.  No promises.

I still have a sale table out until Wednesday of this week so, if you fancy a gander, just get in touch and come and grab yourself a bargain or two.

More updates tomorrow, when I am not so tired.  Thank you so much for having a read and I hope to catch up with everyone in the next few days.  Have a wonderful Saturday evening x
