Friday

Darling Donkeys

Good morning.  I cant believe it is Friday already, the days are certainly flying by.  I am so pleased that the weather has improved and I believe the weekend is going to get considerably warmer as well.  A perfect time for me to do a little more outside in the garden.  It is always a slow process to get the garden started each year not only because of the weather but also because I never know if I can cut things down, tidy them up and start clearing.  I have to keep asking hubby if I am doing the right thing as I really am not a gardener.  I just feel so guilty letting him do all the work that I do try to help.  I love the garden being colourful in the Summer.  I have collected lots and lots of seeds so this year I shall pass some on to friends so that they can grow some plants too.  Something else we can do in the quieter Summer months as I do believe it will still be quiet.

I have had my Coronavirus vaccine and so has hubby.  I also know of lots of other people that have had theirs and here, in Derby, we are told that they are well ahead of the vacination programme which is great news.

I have been having a play with some FREE sale a bration items from Stampin' Up!  Not sure what Sale a Bration is, here is a video to explain it all.

Here I have used the Darling Donkeys stamp set as well as the Ombre papers.  A little colouring in with the blend pens and co-ordinating card stock.

I have been really lucky to have a few ladies sign up and join Stampin' Up!  and here is a welcome card that I have posted out to them, again using the Darling Donkeys stamp set.

I have used the blending brushes to create a bit of a background and them coloured the donkeys in using blend pens again.  Did you see the little tiny hearts that I coloured in. I think the hearts are my new favourites for this week.  As the cards are just one layer I decided to go back to my doodled edges of over 15 years ago.  I used to doodle all my edges after I was shown this in a class I went to in Peterborough at a shop called Sirstampalot, which is still shop at today.

These wonderful ladies decided to join up with me after taking advantage of the special offer that Stampin' Up has for the next 9 days
