Awash with Beauty on Dianes birthday

Good morning.  The forecast for Derby is showers with sunshine so it must be rainbow weather.  I shall keep a look out today.

Yesterday was certainly catch up day.  Lots of visitors throughout the day and lots of chatting and laughter.  Caught up with so many folk I havent seen for a while and it ended with a lovely meal with brother in law and sister in law.   As yesterday was such a long day (was up before 6am), today I had a lie in, up just before 9am, oppps.

It is Dianes birthday today.  We have been friend for a number of years, well it must be at least 14 years, if not longer.  Here we are at a lesson on how to use the brayer, what a fun day that was, which was in 2012.

Here is a card I made for her using lots of different techniques.  It started off with a little blending using one of the Stampin' Up! masks and balmy blue ink.  The flowers from the Awash with Beauty stamp set were stamped out in the three colours, Blushing Bride, Polished Pink and Fresh Fresia along with the leaves in Pear Pizzaz,  which were then die cut out and adhered to the blended background.  Once the background was layered onto a Balmy Blue card matt and onto the card base, the sentiment was stamped out again in Balmy Blue ink, die cut and put on the card with 3D foam pads (dimensionals).  Just a few gems around the outside of the flowers.  I loved making this card and it wont be long before I make another couple.
