Simply Sketches and silly me

Good evening, what a lovely day it started out to be.  First of all I went on a trip to town to collect a parcel.  I did the things I had to do, drove home and then realised, I forgot to collect the parcel.   I did laugh.  I have realised it is all about the way you look at things and your mind set.  It was no big deal forgeting the parcel, just time, petrol and energy returning to town again tomorrow....sigh.

The afternoon has been spent with lots of lovely ladies visiting and having a bit of a catch up.

Then it was some lovelyspent with the folks this afternoon and unfortunately we now have to go and delve into things for mum that I am not really ready to do.  Getting old and infirm really isnt very nice and I really dont know where to start.  I wish there was a book somewhere telling you what you need to do first.  Tomorrow I am spending time with dad to see what we can sort out between us. I will let you know how we get on.  Mum was happy, telling me about something she remembered but she forgot where the conversation was going, so changed the subject.  She is well in herself, not really eating nor drinking much but she is happy.

On another note, here is a card that was made using the Simply Sketches stamp set which is part of the Sale a Bration.

Only 9 days left to get your hands on this set, if you need help to get one, please do let me know.  I have stamped the image out in soft suede ink and they layered the image onto another of the sale a bration items, the FREE cards and envelopes.  I just realised that my pretty embelishments are not level...opps.  Crafting a bit here and a bit there is my escapism for a while, thank goodness I have it.

Do you fancy joining us at Derby Dabblers this Friday night?
