Card Inspiration

Tuesday

Tuesday at Traceys

Good morning on this Tuesday and its nippy outside.  The forecast for today is 11 degrees and sunshine, a great day for Tuesday at Tracey's.

If you fancy a cuppa this afternoon or this evening why not pop in for a catch up and a natter.  You can have a look at the Stampin' Up! brochures, see whats new or if its all new to you, a great way to get more information.  If you need a greeting card or two or bag yourself a bargain, you might just find what you are looking for.  Kettle will be on from 2.00 ish for a couple of hours and again from 6.30. I do hope to see you later.

Last chance today to get this weeks weekly deals, here is a reminder of what they are.

I shall be placing a little order this evening so if there is anything that you would like, please do let me know.

I have come across another card that I can not give out.

I am hoping to replicate this one over the next couple of days and I need a few 'New Home' cards.  This is another one made on our Sir Stampalot retreats.

I was considering going along to the NEC next week for a few hours for a wander round, see whats new and catch up with friends but yesterday, sorting out one of my boxes in the craft room I have come across a kit that was purchased in 2007.  I had to have this kit, I really needed it and at the end of the day, I made 2 cards with it.  So instead of going to the NEC I am putting the entrance money, the train fair and some money that I would have spent into my piggy bank and I shall spend the next few days putting my wonderful card kits together, tut tut Tracey.

Off to start my day, thanks for having a read and I do hope you can make it for a cuppa later today.  If you need to my address details, either give me a call on 01332 721877 or send me an email to tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

Monday

A soggy Monday

What a wet one it is today, it was raining in Liverpool and its raining in Derby.  I dont mind a wet start to the week, it means it can only get better.

We have had a fab weekend in Liverpool, what a city.  I think we have seen everything, been everywhere, done it all plus, we went to the X-Factor concert.  I can honestly say it was the very best one we have ever seen mind you, it should have been called the Fleur East show.  What an entertainer she is and Andreas, do you remember him?  He made me feel that he sang every song to me, personally and I dont mind admitting, I cried, amazing.  We went on the ferry across the Mersey, we talked to so many scousers and we now understand what they say.  I havent met such a friendly city of people in many years, I cant recommend it enough.

Back to reality and we had a great train journey home, all trains on time, lots of friendly chatter with other passengers and home to start our week.  First of all, after I empty the case, is to get the crafty space tidy because tomorrow is Tuesday at Traceys.  Do you have something to collect? would you like to see some new stamps, new colours?  Items from Sale a Bration or the Spring Catalogue, just call in at any time between 2 - 4 or after 6.30 for a catch up.  It would be lovely to see you and, the more the merrier.

I thought I would share another card that we made some time ago, this is another one that I dont want to send out, so I wont.

No photos of the weekend yet, I will share those with you as soon as I have downloaded them.  I feel a Liverpool June scrapbook page coming on.

Thanks for having a read and I do hope you can pop in for an hour or so tomorrow.

Friday

Friday.... all day

Friday and its the weekend.

I didnt manage to get into the craft room last night but never mind.  I can clean it all and sort it all out again next week, its not going away is it.  Today Paul is off work and trying to get a bit more done in his man cave.  It is coming on but as Paul is a perfectionist, it is a slow process still, at least will get done and then I can finally get rid of all the boxes.

Here is a card that we made at Sir Stampalot some time ago.

I have come across it in my "to finish" box but it is finished.  I just dont know if I can send it out to anyone as I like it so much.

Well the electrician has let us down.  He was supposed to get in touch to let us know when he can come and move all the electrical boxes, main fuses etc. which are currently in the bathroom, not heard a word from him.  The boiler man, mmmm, he is due to install a new boiler but he didnt send us a quote.  He hasnt confirmed when he will do it and he hasnt returned our calls.  Which means that the bathroom renovation is now on hold as these two jobs have to be completed before we start taking ceilings down and looking for new bathroom fittings.

So I am going to move on to the outside of the house.  We are extending the drive on Lilly Street side (jokingly we call it the East Wing).  We have found new gates, a lot of concreting has to be done, some new security gates have to be put up around Paul's man cave and some fence panels taken down.  I am concentrating on that area (as well as crafting) over the next few weeks and then I shall have a new fence where the craft room is.  Once this is done I can get the green house moved and a new garden shed put up, leaving the garden on the back ready to sort.  Hopefully by then, I can get back onto the bathroom as the electrian and boiler man will have been and done.

Some very sad news, Crafty Daze in Melton Mowbray is closing down.  Its a wonderful shop and very disappointing that we loose yet another crafty space.  We loved doing our scrapbook pages there.

Right, I had best get a move on, lots to potter with on a Friday.  Thanks for having a read

Thursday

Thank You cards and tags

Yesterday was a smashing day.  I spent all morning making birthday cards for the twins as well as other little chores and I started to sort out my drawer units too.  I found lots of little bits that weren't lost as such but now they are in a proper home so I can put my hands on them easily.

I also made quite a few thank you cards and tags because, SU order arrived, whoop whoop, that is great delivery service isnt it, ordered Saturday, when they are closed, they re open Monday and Wednesday I have the goodies. Wow.

I managed to undo another 2 boxes from the loft, throw bits out, put more in the charity box and put bits in their new homes, seems that I am on a roll.

Today its lots of little things to do so will get on with that and hopefully get back in crafty space this evening for more sorting out.

Here are some of the thank you tags and card that I have made for March, I saw something similar on pintrest and just loved them so I thought, I will have a go, so I did.  Credit to the lady who first made these, whoever you are and if you see this post, let me know and I can put your name on them.
As promised, this is my work desk, normally on a crafty get together this is covered with cake and coffee but on a normal day, (what is normal), it is quite clear ready for me to create.

I shall take another couple of photos later today of the crafting tables where we all get down to it. Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are up to.

Wednesday

Wednesday Weekly Deals and more

Good morning and thanks for having a read today.

Last night I managed to get all my chores done so that today, I have a whole day in crafty space.  I think I am up so early as I am looking forward to it.  Lots of tv programmes to catch up with too while I am in there.  I was able to do these chores as Paul was in his man cave till nearly 10pm but he is so proud of himself putting up the plaster boards, a job he hasnt really done before.

As usual for a Wednesday, we have the weekly deals from Stampin' Up!

My next order will be going in on Sunday so if there is anything that you would like me to order for you, do please let me know before 5pm on Sunday afternoon.

Continuing on with the tour of crafty space, here are another couple of units I have going down the right hand side wall. This one has my SU stamps as well as scrapbooking stuff on the bottom.

Here are all my SU card, bits and pieces for scrapbooking and my alums.  On the top shelves are more scrapbooking bits and pieces and embellishment.

Then we have my 12 x 12's, now you understand why I am not buying any more for a few years.  A girl can never have enough but the good thing is that I am using them up, a little at a time. Note the radio which has smooth music playing out all the time.

Finally my paper stacker which is mostly SU 12 x 12s and my two boxes that I have had forever.

All that is left on that side is my dresser, which I shall straighten up and show you tomorrow.

Another card that I made using the Guy Greetings card which is very clean and simple

Right then, off to wiggle into my crafty space, have a great day and please, do get in touch if you need any crafty help, would like to place an order or come along to one of the crafty events.

Tuesday

Tuesdays Twitter

Spring is in the air at my house, arent these daffs lovely.  I usually look forward to all the daffodils and the snow drops coming up each year but this year, as we moved house, there is nothing coming through the garden at all.  I will have to remember to buy some bulbs to put in the ground for next year.  I just love the minature dafs you can get in baskets so mum decided to buy me a bunch and here they are, all opened out, lovely.

Tuesdays Twitter and lots to twitter about today.  Gas and Electric tut tut, since we moved here we changed our supplier over to Scottish Gas and we have been paying them, each month by direct debit.  We submit our readings every month.  Well recently we received a threatening letter from co op supplies for our gas and electric bill?  I spoke to them and they said no one had cancelled them so they were still suppling our gas and electric???? I know, its just not possible.  So we are in the middle of a debate over this one and now we have been advised that we can go to the omdbusman as it has taken over 14 weeks to sort out......thanks.

I am in the process of catching up with Pintrest.  I still dont fully understand it but hay, I am giving it a go, who knows what it may lead to.  Once I get on there, I just cant leave, such a brilliant place, full of ideas, inspiration and I wonder how I managed without it.  If you havent tried it yet, grab half an hour and have a look.

Pauls man cave is coming along really well.  The ceiling is just about finished and he is working his way around the walls, insulating everything.  I am not sure if it will be done by the time he goes away to work but he is loving doing it and that is the main thing.

Nothing new in the house apart from all the weekly chores have been done as well as the washing and ironing, I hate that stuff. I am busy preparing everything for the twins birthday.  They will be 22 this year and we are meeting up with Katerina at the weekend so I will pass on cards and pressies, 22 goodness, where does the time go.

Sale a Bration from Stampin' Up! is doing so well, lots of FREEBIES to be had and to top it all off, SU bring out another 4 items that you can get for FREE.

With every £45 spent you get a FREE Sale a Bration item.  If you would like more information or brochures please do get in touch.  You can call me on 01332 721877 or send me an email tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com and I will be very happy to help, if I can.

Here is another one of the cards that we made last week, using the Guy Greeting stamp set and a matching tag too.

This stamp set is so useful for all the masculine cards we have to make.  I shall be making more cards with this next week so if you would like a play, pop in one afternoon next week

I  have already been to the docs this morning and had my fasting blood test so now its off to do a little shopping before coming home to the chores.  I am sure there may be an hour or two later where I can find some time in the crafty space.

Thanks for having a read and have a lovely day.

Monday

World of Dreams on a Monday morning

Good morning and another week begins.  I only have just 10 days left and then I go back to work, which will be nice.  It is freezing cold outside this morning, oh yes, I have been out and put the heating on in crafty space.  A little sorting out and a few cards will be made today, very calming.

Last week was lovely with lots of people crafting the days and evening away.  We made some wonderful cards and chicks and here is one of the cards we made.

Some of us had it as an Anniversary card, a new home, a new baby or just some lovely words.  It really is a great stamp set called World of Dreams and you can do lots with the set. We used Wild Wasabi and Pistachio Pudding for the base cards along with Crush Curry and Chocolate Chip inks. I shall be having another play with this set on another week.

I have added a few new little bits on the dressers for sale.

Some men bookmarks for the men in our lives,  a few little bits for daughters, candles and ohhh, to many to list so, if you are looking for something a little different to give as a gift, please do come and visit.

There are still quite a few greeting cards for sale as well.  As soon as the school fayes start up, I hope to be there so if you hear of anything taking place, please let me know.

On with a little bit more of the tour of Crafty Space. Continuing along the back wall are more drawers and yes they do have labels on them.  I cant remember what is inside each drawer yet so I just put a reminder.  I then have my sewing mat at the side of the drawers, not an ideal place but for now, it will do.
Then there are cards for sale, my jewellery bits and MDF stuff and cricut cartridges, which I really must play with more.
This then leads on to the stamps and decoupage area.  Lots of stamps in lots of boxes but in the corner, it is Christmas Corner.  Everything on the corner shelf is for Christmas, stamps, papers, embellishments etc. etc.
So far so good.  Next time its more stamps and scrapbooking.

Well thank you for having a read today and hope you have enjoyed the photos.  I am going to try and learn how to add things to Pintrest so if you are on there, please do follow me.  Have a lovely day whatever you are up to.

Sunday

All change

Good morning on this very cold Sunday and thanks for having a read of the blog.

Well time ran away with me towards the end of last week having Katerina with me and I didnt get time to blog.  I didnt do any crafting just some reading, correcting, putting the world to rights oh and a little shopping, cooking and cleaning, usual stuff.

I also managed to get a lot of boxes emptied, oh yes, 8 of them to be precise.  I put things away, took things to the charity shop, a tip run and now I am selling bits and pieces on various internet sites phew.

We also managed to get a lot further with the spare bedroom, which Katerina has called the "extra room".  Christiana has called this the 'Everything Room' and I love this name so, this is what it will now be known as.  It really does have everything in it from storage, to study, spare bed, coats etc. etc.  Here are a few photos of before, during and after.

I have to continue painting the room cream and change the curtains but I am so pleased with it.

I had a few birthdays last week and here is one of the cards that I sent.

It is using a retired Stampin' Up! stamp and I loved making these, speaking of which, today I am in the craft room.  I shall spend the majority of the day in there doing some cleaning, some setting up for crafty week and sorting more bits and pieces out.  I have quite a few retired stamp sets to sell and I have been in a quandary about selling them but I made the decision and looking for new homes they will be.

If you would like anything from Stampin' Up! I have a little order going in on Tuesday, just let me know and if you would like to do some crafting using Stampin' Up! products, please get in touch as it is crafty week next week.

Wishing you a lovely day and if you fancy a cuppa, want to look through the brochures or just feel like a natter, you know where I will be today.

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Continuing on with the walls in my crafty space, my first dresser is the next item along the wall where you walk in.  It has lots of bits and pieces for sale that not only I am selling, but others are selling too.  Boxes, plasters, books, ribbons, little magnets, cake testers etc. etc.  Always something new on there so please, do call in and have a look around. Do you make items, would you like to sell your items on the dressers? If you would, just let me know.

Next to the dresser I have all my MDF bits in the tubs on the bottom shelves, stickles, glitters, ribbons and lots of other knick knacks that I use all the time on this unit and that, is the end of wall one.
The corner shelves have my non SU cards, buttons and bows, 6 x 6 papers, 8 x 8 papers and brads.
On the the first shelf on the back wall there is all my painting bits and bobs, copics, SU writters as well as halloween, easter and chrsitmas bits.
This is then followed by my sewing pieces and recipe books.  As well as the start of my cards for sale and gift tags.
I will continue with the back wall tomorrow and, its a great excuse to get things cleaned up, dusted and sorted out.

Here is a card that I have started playing with, this is from World of Dreams stamp set.  I have done this in browns and creams. No sentiment as yet as not sure what occasion I shall use it for.

Yesterday Katerina and I did Dunelm for an hour, mmmm, got curtains and quilt cover for new girls room/study.  Curtains have to go back today, too long.  The short ones are too short, the medium ones are too long so I am going to get floor length and paul is going to change the pole for me.  I currently have a curtain pole but want a track, why is nothing straight forward, so a track I shall have at the weekend.

Its the weekly deals out today, if you would like anything please do get in touch.

Now I must get a wiggle on as I need to try and coax Katerina out of bed, not an easy job before mid day.  Have a lovely day and enjoy the sunshine, while it is here. x
