Card Inspiration

Saturday

Today is the day

Goodness me, 260 visitors on my blog yesterday?  Not sure how real that is but *waving* to everyone today.

Yesterday was lovely, I managed to get all my chores done (apart from the ironing) and then a bit more gardening phew, it was hot.  The table clothes were on the tables outside, the cushions were out and I managed to keep grabbing 10 mins, just sitting in the sun.

Of course, it wouldnt have been such a perfect day if I hadnt gone into the craft room so I had a couple of hours in there too, getting it all ready for today.

I have an open house today for my catalogue launch.  We shall make some cute bags, a card, look at new products, drink coffee, go through the catalogue and see some samples.

There is a raffle and hopefully, some cake too.  Please do come along, the more the merrier and its lovely to sit and chat craft.

I made some tags to go with my thank you cards and envelopes

The floor in Paul's man cave had the underlay fitted

Today he is putting the laminate down and wants to be up at 6am to make an early start, well actually he asked for a cuppa in bed at 6am but he does work hard and deserves it.

And this is what the sky was doing as I was locking up and going in the house last night

The saying is red sky at night, shepherds delight so fingers crossed for a lovely day weather wise today.

Thanks for having a read and I hope you have a wonderful day

Friday

That Friday Feeling

Day off today whoop whoop, it certainly does feel like that Friday feeling.  I shall be making the most of it.

I have made a few small envelopes for my thank you cards.

I used the brand new Envelope paper which at £5.50 for 20 sheets is wonderful. Of course it isnt just for envelopes, ideal for matting and layering too. At 27.5 p a sheet it is cheaper than most wrapping papers so you could wrap your little pressies for a perfectly co-ordinated look, ohh, I think I will try that later.
Of course the envelope maker came in handy and I got great pleasure out of making my own envelopes.

A bit of 'job well done' feeling.

If you would like to have a go with the envelope maker to see how it works or try some of the envelope paper, why not call in tomorrow?  I have an open house from 11 - 4 and it would be lovely to see you.  If you cant make tomorrow, get in touch and pop round one afternoon or evening next week.

I got up this morning with a few aches and pains.  I have never really used a saw but last night I did, sawing a tree down.  Then we planted some laural trees on the front, to try and seperate the front from the back.  It was hard work.  We had 5 hours solid digging and digging and Paul managed to use his mattock

Lots of people stopped to ask questions, make comments and it was a lovely evening, although it was tiring.  Afterwards, I certainly felt like it was a worthwhile evening.  A neighbour came down to see us quite late on and said she thought I had a naked man in the garden, Paul had his shirt off and of course, digging out a trench and wandering between the holly etc. you couldnt see his shorts,  so now we know why so many people came over for a look, bless him.

Off to start my busy day, if  you fancy a coffee later, I should be around but I may have a hoover or duster in my hands.  Have a wonderful day, what ever you may be up to. x

Thursday

Choose Happiness

Thursday and, fingers crossed, this is my Friday?  I hope to have tomorrow off work you see.

Pauls is really cracking on with his workshop now....the electric cables are all laid, the floor lining is down and it is all nice and clean in there.  Lets hope that the actual flooring will go down tonight which means, yes you have heard it before *giggling* the boxes may be taken out of the kitchen.

I havent been in the craft room for 2 days tut tut.  So many little bits and pieces need doing in the house so I have tackled them and I have been selling a few bits of crafting items which all takes time.

Here are my thank you cards for this month

I have used the Choose Happiness stamp in the new In Colours Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaroon.  SU have also made these using the very same stamp set.

Not sure about the Stampin Up Colours, hope that this helps.

Off to make a start on my day, thanks for having a read and, if you are in Derby on Saturday, it would be lovely to see you.  x

Tuesday

A very wet Tuesday

After all the anticipation, all the excitement and all the chatter, the new 2015 - 2016 Annual Catalogue is live.

My first order went in at the crack of dawn this morning. I dont know if there will be a weekly deal this week, just having all the new products is a lot to take in and I am sure that the good old tinternet will be bombarded with photos and pictures of all new makes.  How exciting.

TODAY you can order from ALL THREE catalogues.  If there is anything that you would like please let me know before 6pm this evening and I will be really happy to order it for you.  If you have any queries or would like to find out more and you want to pop in for a cuppa this afternoon, I shall be in the crafty space and you are most welcome to call in

If you would like to come and see what all the fuss is about, get your own copy of the catalogue, see some sample, make a card and a bag, place an order, see some class dates etc. etc.  please, do come along on Saturday between 11 am-4pm to my crafty space in Alvaston, Derby.  If you would like exact venue details, just get in touch.  There are also quite a lot of stamp sets for sale too.

I have gone through the catalogue cover to cover, over and over again and the more I look at it, the more I see items that I would like, here is one of them

If  you dont already have a demonstrator why not get in touch with me and I will be happy to help with all Stampin' Up! related queries.

I managed to get the sweet peas all tied up yesterday only for them to be blown away again with the awful weather.  I didnt think that the wind would ever stop.  We had so much rain that I may not need to water the garden for another week.  At the end of the day, the plants need the rain water so I guess its a good thing but this is supposed to be our Summer.

We went off to the opticians and, as expected we both need new glasses. So this lovely chappie went round with Paul, found glasses, helped him etc. etc.  I waited for the young lady to come and help me, the glasses I wanted to try on were locked.  I waited and waited and then went to find someone only to be told, "oh I am sorry, it is too late, we are closed" huh?  Not the service I expected at all.  I may just collect my prescription and go elsewhere tut tut.

I had best get a wiggle on and get myself ready for work.  Have a lovely day and thanks for nipping in for a read x

Monday

June 1st - all day

White rabbit, white rabbit etc. etc.  I think that June is going to be a wonderful month.

Yesterday I was a little out of sorts, not too sure what was wrong but the day passed and I managed to get some thank you notes done, the spare room all clean and tidy as well as a load of ironing.  The newsletter went out and emails got answered.

That leaves work this morning, a little more washing this afternoon before going for the eye test.  I am sure I need new glasses and Paul believes that he does too so we may have to take out a mortgage for those.

Its the very last day for the 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! Catalogue.  I cant wait for tomorrow as there are lots and lots of new and exciting products just waiting to be used.

Why not start the new stampin up year by joining Stampin Up?  You can get all your goodies at discounted prices, you can hold parties if you want, or dont hold them and be a hobby demonstrator.  Give it a go, you have nothing to loose plus you can get 2 FREE STAMP SETS of your choice starting tomorrow.  Get in touch and I will happily tell you more.

I have been using some of the new 12 x 12 papers to make some little notebooks.  These papers are called Bohemian and it was a set that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators were allowed to get a little earlier to have a play with. Hope you like them.

This Saturday I have

Its a Catalogue Launch Party and it would be lovely to see you if you could come along.  I have some samples on show, a little bag for everyone to make as well as the catalogues to go through too.  You can purchase your own catalogue or get it free by joining the stamperettes.  Lots of get togethers during the month of June so you can sign yourself up on one or two classes as well.  Just let me know that you are coming along so that I can make sure that there are enough cakes and kits. A nice and easy card to make and lots of crafty chatter.

Best go and make a start on this wonderful first day of the month.  Have a great day and thanks for having a read

Saturday

A bit of allsorts

Despite the wet and damp start to today I am hoping its going to dry up and be a lovely day.  I shall put my cushions out and my tablecloths and keep my fingers crossed that I can sit outside at sometime today.

Yesterday and last night was lovely.  Lots of visitors, lots of ladies I have known for years and some new friends made too.  We all looked through the catalogue, had coffee and cake and put the world to rights, as you do.  But I forgot about the raffle, ooops.  So if you came along yesterday, fancy a go in the raffle, let me know as you have a week to get your tickets.

Here is a little bag that we all made

It is called a bibi bag and the beauty of this is that you can  decorate the piece of card with your stamps first, to match your greeting card and then make up the bag so its a lovely little set.  I shall be running a class on Monday 15th June to make the above screen card, bag, tag and another card using the same stamp set.  There are a few places left if you would like to come along.

If you missed popping in yesterday dont worry, I have my IN WITH THE NEW event next Saturday 6th June and you can come along, have a look at the samples, make a bag or two and look through the new catalogue.  I will also have some catalogues for sale on the day or grab yourself a free copy when you join my Stamperettes group.  I love the name Stamperettes and its a name I invented during my first year with Stampin' Up!  This will be the 14th Series of the Stamperette group and this time round, there are 10 parties you can attend throughout 10 months. Add that to the additional £15, free brochures and goodness knows what else, its a good opportunity of building up your crafty supplies.

Katerina made it home, so that is all 3 girls in Cyprus now so its a little sad for me this weekend.  I am sure that they will call and face time but it isnt the same knowing that Katerina is not just up the road in Preston.  Here are the twins on their night out with their friends last night.

It is a rare photograph as they both have their hair the same colour and same style so they do look very alike.

Today I am catching up with chores, cleaning the craft room and starting to get prepared for everything that is happening in June.  A few birthday, anniversaries and thank you cards to make.

If you would like anything from Stampin' Up!, large or small, let me know as I shall be putting my last 2014 - 2015 order in tomorrow night.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful weekend.

Thursday

In Colour Screen Card

Good morning and today is supposed to be a lovely day weather wise, fingers crossed.

The plants outside are starting to look good and hopefully this weekend I can grab a couple of small rockery plants to fill my new plant pots.  Pauls garage has just had another coat of paint and he thinks it needs one more coat and then the floor will go down.  I am hoping that will be this weekend too and then, it will be move the boxes out.

But before all of that I have a sale tomorrow, Friday of lots of retired products from Stampin' Up! as well as lots of things to show you from the new catalogue.  Here is a card I made while I was having a play with the new In Colours from Stampin' Up! and I am liking them, very much.

The stamp set is one that has been carried over and this card is one of the cards we will be making in June.

If you have an hour or so tomorrow, anytime from 2ish, why not come along and have a cuppa.  See the new catalogue with lovely new goodies, have a play with the In Colours or just pop over for chat and a catch up?  It really would be lovely to see you and who knows, you may grab yourself a bargain or two at the same time.  If you need my address, just give me a call on 01332 721877 or send me an email to tracey.rossos2@hotmail.com

Well I had best get a wiggle on as after work today, I am spending the afternoon and evening with Katerina in Birmingham before she goes on to the last part of her journey home.  Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day.

Monday

Get well soon card

Good morning on this Bank Holiday Monday.  No work for me today YEAH.  I am off to spend the day with my youngest daughter and I cant wait.  It will be a working day as we are cleaning her apartment ready for her return to Cyprus boo hoo.  I shall miss her so much as she calls me at least 3 or 4 times a day and makes me laugh everytime.  I call her my little ray of sunshine.

Yesterday whizzed past but what can I expect?  I spent most of the morning in my bed asleep.  Once I was up and about I sorted out all my handbags and put them away, then I did the wardrobes before going into the crafty space to make a few more bits for my "out with the old and in with the new" events, one this Friday and the other a week on Saturday.  I managed to make a few things with some new 12 x 12 papers, I made some little notebooks for the stamperettes group that is starting and I made another card.

Very similar to the last one but a get well card.  You can never have too many of those can you.

Best get a wiggle on, thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day.

Sunday

My new favourite butterfly die

Good morning from a very cloudy Derby.  It is extremely gray out there this morning but still mild so not complaining.

9 days left to purchase items from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue.  Is there something that you have had your eye on that you would like to order?  Something that you might want to purchase from my reitirement list of stamps and goodies that I am selling?  If so just let me know.

I shall be selling lots of SU items on Friday 29th May at my "out with old and in with new" get together.  If you fancy nipping in for a cuppa and a slice of cake, see some new SU goodies and book on a class or two, please do feel free to pop in.  There will be a make and take at 2pm, 4pm, 7pm and 8pm.  A raffle that has a mega prize to be drawn on 6th June and hopefully some samples for you to have a look at.  Of course, there is the new catalogue that you can purchase/order too.

I had a bit of a play yesterday, while trying to get all my card classes ready for the month of June.

We shall be having a class on Monday 15th, the perpetual calendar on 17th a scrapbook day on 20th.  As well as crafty week on 23rd and 26th then there is the brand new Stamperettes party on 29th.  Not to mention another Out with old and In with the new on Saturday 6th June.  If any of my lovely friends reading this would like to do a demonstration on the afternoon/evening of 29th May and or 6th June, do let me know.  I can provide you with coffee and cake at all times lol.

I now need to sort out the contents of handbags!! dont ask, just trust me, its a job I do each month.  I go through all my bags making sure there is nothing in them that I need and I put them all away on the 'handbag shelf'.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful Sunday

Saturday

Super Saturday

Today is supposed to be the best day weather wise for the bank holiday so I am up early and off to water the garden.  It is starting to look lovely and I dont want the plants to wilt.

After a trip to the bank, grab a bit of shopping its time for home again and I am determined to grab an hour with my book in the garden....bliss.  Then I will make the most of the time in the craft room as I am getting ready for my catalogue launch next week.  I have a full month of events in June too so if you fancy making a card or a few, there is plenty of chance.

Today is Beths birthday, my eldest grandaughter.  She is going to be 15 years old and here is the card that I made her

I saw something extremely similar on our weekend away and just knew it would suit my sis and Beth.  I hope you like it.  I have even been asked to make 2 more for two other special girls.

Have you got your new catalogue yet?  If you have, are there 10 things in there that you would like to purchase?  If the answer is yes then why not join the stamperettes and get those 10 items over 10 months, spreading the cost and getting yourself an additional £15 to spend.   This is  as well as getting catalogues for free and 10 SU parties, all for free?  There are just 7 spaces left.  Come along on either Friday 29th May or Saturday 6th June to my catalogue launch to find out more over a cuppa and piece of cake??  I am in Alvaston, Derby and it would be lovely to see you.

Thanks so much for having a read today, have a great day whatever you are up to

Friday

Dads card

Yippee it is Friday and I am so pleased.  I get the whole weekend at home before nipping off to Preston to bring Katerina back for a few days.

Today I have to start with some chores and then it's in the craft room for most of the evening, how lucky am I?

Here is my dads birthday card, I dont think I shared it with you

It was his birthday earlier this week and he does like his football.

Here are all the wonderful cards that I received for my special day and I shall take them down this evening and pop them in my birthday box.

I had some lovely home made cards which are extremely inspirational, thank you ladies.

I have the new brochures for the 2015 - 2016 SU Ideas.  If you would like one of these let me know and we can get it posted out to you.

Right, off to get some chores done, have a lovely evening and thanks for having a read.

Wednesday

Midweek Musings

We had a lovely time crafting last night, 9 of us in crafty space, a wonderful atmosphere.  Here is one of the cards that we made

I have been asked to make this card again in a class for a few ladies that couldnt make it last night so on Friday June 19th I have a class pencilled in.  We shall use the same stamp set to make a couple of cards, a couple of tags and a bag.  If you would like to come along, please let me know.  If you think that you would like to purchase the Something Lacy stamp it is £12.95 and it is not in the new catalogue, just let me know and I will get one ordered for you.

Its Katerinas last exam tomorrow and she has been reading and reading like mad for it.  I am so pleased that she is coming home for a while and we get to do a few girly things together, before she starts on the next part of the journey of her life.

Sophia still has another couple of weeks of exams and I will get to spoil her when we meet up next time.

Now I have a few days to get ready for the Out with Old and In with the New night.  The first one is on Friday 29th May and it would be lovely if as many as people as possible come along.  We shall have a little make and take, look at a new technique and a browse through the new catalogue.  Of course, there will be lots of bits and pieces for sale too.   If you cant make the 29th May, I am having a In with the New on Saturday 6th June.

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely evening xx
