Simply Succulents Stampin' Up! set set and wallet

Good morning and brrrr it is a cold one.  It was -2 when I got up today at just before 6am and after the weather we had in Derby yesterday, it is no surprise.  We had all the four seasons in just one day, hence my four season tree image.  Glorious sunshine just as a Spring day would be in the morning, rather warm when stood outside in the sun away from the wind.  Then it got pretty nippy and the leaves were flying around as they would in Autumn but to top it off, we had hail and snow just as I was brave enough to be going out, alone.

I have given the blog a bit of a colour lift, with it being Spring and I am in the Spring cleaning mode, I thought it would brighten things up a little.

I made some note cards using the Stampin' Up! Simply Succulents stamp set.  These were coloured in using various Stampin' Up! ink colours.  I usually squeeze the pads to get a pool of ink in the lids or if I cant do this,  I just tap an acrylic block into the ink pad and use the ink that pools on the top.  With an aqua painter and a bit of kitchen roll I water down the ink and use them to colour my stamped images.  When colouring using this technique, I always use either Shimmer White card or Watercolour card stamped with a Stazon image.

Once the note cards were made, I created a wallet to keep them as I wanted to pass them on to a friend as a gift.  This wallet is made by stamping some of the images from the same stamp set on to a sheet of 12' X 12" Basic White card, which I used as the outside of the wallet.  For the inside, I cut out the largest die from the co-ordinating set and used it as a template.  I held down the template and using a blending brush and a pale coloured ink, I added colour to the card to create a pattern.  I made a few score marks, folder it up, popped in the cards and envelopes and closed it up.  To keep it secure I tied a ribbon around it.

All the products I used to make both the notecards and the wallet are listed below.  If you would like more details on how to make this, please let me know and I shall be very happy to show you.

The car is going into the garage today so I am out of action for the day.  Not sure what will happen so no plans have been made.

Thank you for having a read, if you would like any crafty help at all, please do get in touch.  Tracey x
