April floral cards with Simply Succulent

Good morning, Easter weekend and a lovely day planned.  Off to see mum and dad this morning as I do each and every Satruday.  This week though I can sit outside with them.  We have chatted on the doorstop for so long so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is a bit warmer and we can sit out in the sunshine but who knows what the weather will be like.

For the month of April I am making floral cards.  I have started with a stamp set called Simply Succulents.

The card style is called a 'swing card' or a 'lever card' you will often find that a certain style of card has a few different names.

I love colouring so I have stamped my images on Stampin' Up! Shimmery White card with stazon ink and coloured them in using aqua painters and ink in the lids of the ink pads. Once I had coloured them in I fussy cut them out (fussy cut is using scissors and going around the outline of the stamped image).  The Old Olive (green) card is a 6"x6" one with the square cut out of the middle using dies.  I then added another piece of card (which you can see in the second photograph) with three panels making sure that the first panel had the main image stuck on it so that it popped out of the square.  I adhered a panel of designer series paper called Forever Greenery to the middle.  Now this paper will be discontinued at the end of the month so I am putting a little order in with Stampin' Up! to get myself another pack before it goes.

My order for some Stampin' Up! goodies will be going in this evening.  If there is anything that you would like from the catalogues/online shop and would like me to order it for you, please do get in touch.  I will order it for you and you are welcome to collect from Alvaston.  As a little thank you for Easter, there wont be any postal charges for anyone who collects from me.

If you do place an online order, please do double check that my name is in 'your demonstrator' box, which it should be.  If you use the host code for April, I will happily pop something in the post for you.  You just need to add the Host code (below) into the appropriate box on your order and leave details of your address so that I can post something out.

If you did want to visit me, outside in the garden for a crafty chat, to answer any queries or to find out more about joining Stampin' Up! you are most welcome to.  Now that we have the new regulations I will be happy for you to call in.  Please get in touch to arrange a mutually conveninent time.

Stampin' Up! have a list of products that are on sale which will be discontinued at the end of the month.  You can find all these last chance items by clicking on the Goodbye image below.

Thank you for having a read and if there is anything that I can help you with please, do get in touch.  Tracey x
