Card Inspiration

Sunday

Happy Birthday Hubby

Good morning and boy, its a cold morning.  I cant believe we had a frost and we had fog too.  Glad I am not going out too early this morning.  The temperature is due to get up to about 12 degrees later so thats okay.  I will get out to sweep all around and collect the moss the pesky birds keep taking off the roof.  I shall be glad when Paul is able to get up on the roof and clean it all off.

Speak of Paul, it is his birthday today.  Unfortunately this is the second year running that he isnt at home on his special day.

We are going to celebrate a week late and have cakes and tea next Sunday afternoon when I hope, he will be home.   He is hoping to make a bit of a rose garden next to where he parks his car and therefore he has asked family for hybrid tea roses for his birthday.  Something a little different.

Yesterday was a smashing day, I managed to plant up the spring onions and the corriander.  Today I hope to plant some flowering seeds, just to see what happens.  I gave the greenhouse a good, hoover, mop and polish, well a sweep out and tidy up.  I was lucky enough to get all the chores done in the morning so I spent the afternoon in the craft room, finishing off the Christmas cards and then having coffee and cake with everyone that came to visit, right up to 7pm last night.

Today it is ironing and a little shopping followed by......back in the craft room.  So there is a little cake left if anyone would like some with a coffee (trying out the new machine).

I have an order is going in later this evening if there is anything that you would like from Stampin' Up! Lots of lovely weekly deals, if you havent already seen them,

I know it is a little early but I want to remind you that at the end of May the 2014 - 2016 In Colours will be leaving Stampin' Up!  The colours are

Lost Lagoon
Blackberry Bliss
Hello Honey
Mossy Meadow
Tangelo Twist

If any of these are your current favourites (I put current because I know we all like a change now and then), I would suggest you might want to think about ordering an ink refill or two and some card stock.  I do know that when the retirement information and sales come out then the card and ink will go in a flash and if it is like last year, we just couldnt get on the internet to place any orders.

Off to start on the ironing, before 8am on a Sunday morning, I must be mad.  Have a wonderful Sunday and if you are free this afternoon, why not pop in?  If you need the address, just let me know.

Saturday

Sew nice it's Saturday

Good morning.  It is wet out there but I have been told the day is going to be a good one weather wise so I am keeping my fingers crossed as I was hoping to potter out there later.  The weather man says 10 degrees with spotty showers later in the day, I guess that will do us.  I could do with some rain as I have lots and lots of white bird poo to scrub off today.  We have a heron that wanders around the garden and boy its a big one but I dont want its mess.

Yesterday was yet another lovely day at work and then the afternoon was followed by baking and chores.  The evening was spent with some lovely ladies at the Christmas Card and Chatter Club.  I was very productive in finishing off some card fronts.  These will be attached to the card bases, sparkle added and a touch of crystal effects nearer to Santas visit.

Here is another card that we made last weekend at our weekend escape I mean retreat.

We made this with Chris last Sunday afternoon.

Stampin' Up! have decided to stop the weekly deals AARRGGGHHH.  These have been brilliant and I am sure that lots of you have had some great offers, I know I have.  There are quite a few bits and pieces on offer this week.  I am putting an order in tomorrow evening for Stampin' Up! and if there is anything that  you would like me to get for you, please get in touch.   If you click HERE it will take you straight to the Stampin' Up! page, then just click on the STORE section and have a browse through Weekly Deals and dont forget the Clearance.

After the chores today I shall be in the craft room, please feel free to pop in for a cuppa if you have some free time.

Thanks for having a read and have a wonderful day

Friday

Thank you

I beat the birds again today, bless them.  Well it is no surprise, I was in bed by 8.30pm so at 5 this morning it was *ping* I was wide awake.  Today is going to be around 11 degrees with a shower at lunch time ish or early afternoon, I have been informed, we shall see.

Gathering a few little orders for the weekend, if we reach the minimum order value of £150, 2 lucky ladies will get a new ink pad or card pack,  colour of your choice.  If you fancy a cuppa and a browse through the catalogue or if you would like some more information, try before you buy, please do give me a ring and we can arrange a get together.  I have a lovely crafting area thats free all weekend.

My wrist/hand and my leg are getting better but not quite there yet.  I have some bits and pieces I want to get down from the top shelves in my craft room so lets hope the leg is much improved over the weekend so that I can use my stool to climb up and get them down.

I am really pleased to say that the thank you cards are all written and all the orders are ready, packaged up.  If you would like to collect your goodies over the weekend, please do.  Otherwise I will be dropping things off on Tuesday next week (leg permitting).

Here is my thank you card tin
And the new cards that I have made

Enough from me on this wonderful Friday.  Thanks for popping in for a read and I hope you have a lovely day, whatever you are up to.  Tracey x

No Bones About It

Morning, its wet again out there but chilly too brrr.

It is happy birthday wishes to Harry today

I have used No Bones About it stamp set and the colours are all a CASE from Claires card, thanks Claire.

Very short and sweet today as hand is getting worse, oppps.

That wood is still outside the gate so please, be careful if you pop round.  I have tried to move it but it is too heavy for me to do it but if you want to shift it a bit, please do.

Have a wonderful day, no matter what you are up to and thanks for popping in for a read.....

Wednesday

Midweek Musing

Good morning on this damp day.  Its it supposed to be warm, around 11 degrees with showers.  We really had a few April showers over the last couple of days and I got wet through on Monday, oops.

Work was busy yesterday and I expect the same today. It was another lovely morning there yesterday and I managed to get lots done

Unfortunately my bigshot itus, or iron itus or something totally different has returned.  My left wrist is badly affected but so is my right knee, so that must be sitting itus.  Struggling to type the blog so without further ado.....weekly deals.

My next order will go in on Sunday so if you want to grab a bargain or two, just get in touch.

I had 2 SU boxes arrive yesterday and there are 2 more coming today so I will be kept busy this evening (working late today).  If you have any orders to collect you are most welcome to pop round later this evening or tomorrow.  I am quite excited to see what we have in the boxes.

Here is another one of the cards we made during our crafty weekend, I just love this

Isnt it sweet. It has a stand at the back, like an easle which is a die...well I just had to order myself one didnt I.

Do you need any wood, have a log burner?  I had a few bits delivered yesterday and now have this outside my back gate.  Please feel free to come to collect.  I have tried to move it but it is so heavy.

Right, off to get ready for work.  Thanks for having a read and have a lovely day x

Monday

Merry Monday 13

Good morning on this very Merry Monday. Forecast man says a high of 13 degrees with a couple of thunderstorms, thats fine as I will be inside most of today.

As usual on a Monday, it our Merry Make and this week is a lovely card from Sheila

Thank you Sheila.

Speaking of Christmas Cards, dont forget it is the Christmas Card and Chatter Club this Friday night.  If you would like to come along please do let me know in advance as space is limited.

What a wonderful weekend I have had which started late Friday afternoon when we arrived at a shop called Riverside in a lovely village of Market Deeping.

We did a detour (got lost) as you do because we thought we knew the road we wanted and we didnt listen to Mr. Sat Nav.  Got there in the end and it is still such a pretty little village.  The weekend just had to start off with a late lunch and a natter with Pauline who we hadnt seen since last October.  This was of course followed by the rummage at Riverside crafts which is a craft shop, a bric a brac store and an eyeopener.  Stunning things, antiquy things and new things too....I think you can call it an emporium.  A few purchases were made before heading over to our base for the weekend, Sir Stampalot.  The welcome was, as usual wonderful, the ladies and Andy were just as special as always and of course, the shop just so inspiring.  If you get the chance to visit the shop or even a weekend class/retreat on these lovely premises, wonderful hosts and smashing tutors, dont say no.

This was our Friday night project

A card, tag and matching envelope set, very nice.  I love the lined envelope and have been inspired by this idea.

Well, I must get on otherwise the day will be over before I know it.

Thanks for having a read today and I hope you have a lovely day, despite the weather x

Friday

Fantastic Friday

I am up well before the birds this morning, all of a dither.....does anyone else use that word?

The forecast is due to be around 12 degrees in Derby today but I am also checking out the weather in Peterborough, it says around 15 with sunny spells.  I am off to a crafting weekend with 8 lovely ladies, some super duper shop owners and smashing tutors.  Who could ask for more?

Yesterday was all go in the afternoon, both Christiana and Katerina are ill, with two different things. Christiana has an ear infection, sore throat and pains above her eyes so she is on antibiotics.  Her nose also feels like a tap but the unfortunate thing is that with her condition, she doesnt know it is dripping, she could do with a nose bag.  Katerina has had an upset tum all week, with all the other yakky symptoms that go with it, bless them both.  So I was on and off messenger, skype and facebook until late in the day.

Today the twins are 23 OMG, now where did that go?  I had no time at all to make the cards nor buy presents as the person who was going to take everything out to them gave me 2 days notice that they were leaving and even I am not superwoman.  So it was shop purchased cards this time.  They do have some surprises though, thanks to Christiana organising them.

It is also Bro in Laws birthday today and he did get a handmade card....

Read Red card, shining silvers and Basic Blacks.   I do hope he likes it.

Well I must dash off to work (after I finish packing, sorting out my craft bag etc. etc.)  I am sure the house is going to feel rather lonely and quiet without me it it.

Not forgetting white rabbits either.....thanks for popping in and I hope have an amazing day, without getting caught out too many times with it being the 1st April. x

Thursday

green fingers

Good morning on this wonderful day.  The forecast today is lots of sun with a high of 11 degrees, lets hope that is the case.

Monday and Tuesday flew by, we did gardening, mending a fence, sorting out a street sign

as well as a little shopping, a lot of laughing and listening to some wonderful songs on the radio.

Then yesterday it was back to work and an afternoon of chatting to my daughters, friends and Paul. Before I knew it, the day was gone and it was time for bed.

The craft room is nearly ready, lots of empty boxes, lots of rubbish in the bin and a lot of sorting out has been done.  Another couple of hours and it will be ready to use again.

Here are a couple of photos that I promised of the greenhouse

The amarylis that didnt flower.  I have been told to water it each week, keep it in the sunshine and then in October put it to bed for 8 weeks.  When I take it out at the beginning of December, it should flower.

The other pot which contains, something that has just slipped my mind, are supposed to be watered until the leaves die.  Then this has to go to bed until 8 weeks before I want flowers...

The water butt has been sorted out and I am watering the plants with fresh rain water, get me *giggling*

Here are the two sacks that contain potatoes, fingers crossed

My lettuces, or I hope that they will be

Then the tomatoes, two kinds, normal and tumblling
Today is the very last day of the Stampin' Up! Sale a Bration.  Your last chance to get £160 worth of Stampin' Up! Craft products for £99.  The last time you can place an order and get one of the Sale a Bration items, free of charge.  I am home all afternoon from 3pm and  this evening if you would like to get any of the above offers, I shall be very happy to help you with these.

Right now I have to hit that shower and get myself off to work for the morning.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful day x

Monday

Happy Easter Wishes

Happy Easter wishes to everyone  from a damp Derby.  The forecast is for showers and a top temperature of 10 degrees so I guess I will be working in doors today.

No Merry Monday today as it's Easter.  Above is my little tree that is decorated with Easter Eggs, and  I try to purchase a new one each year.

These are the little curvy boxes we make every Crafty Week and last week we made Easter ones, although you cant see all the eggs in mine.

Yesterday was another smashing day home with hubby.  After a lie in, yes I had a lie in and a few chores, it was onwards and upwards sorting out the craft room.  In between coffee with friends, cooking a Sunday lunch etc, we also managed to plant up the normal tomatoes, some tumbling tomatoes, a little rocket and lettuce leaves.  The potatoes are in so that just leaves some herbs and the spring onions.  Photos will be taken soon but it got so dark that we had to stop.  I have to go out and buy a few more 'growing' bits such as earth, a couple of large trays etc.

Here is one of the cards I managed to get finished yesterday among the chaos of the craft room, oh its very untidy.....

This is from a kit I purchased some time ago and I still have a lot of bits left to make with it.

I need to get a very large hamper in the craft room, hence the sorting, creating more space but I make such a mess while I sort it out.  I know I am not the only one and I always so pleased when it is finished.

I have a few 'Close your eyes make a wish' stamps still for sale.

They are £1.13 each (the .13 is the postage cost split between all the stamps I ordered).  If you would like one, could you let me know and I will put it to one side for you.

Well, off to make a start, thank you for having a read and I hope you have a lovely Bank Holiday Easter Monday x

Saturday

Bank Holiday Saturday

Good morning from a fairly warm Derby.  Today it is supposed to be around 3 degrees with rain coming in at 1ish.  That will be okay for me I guess.

Yesterday was a wonderful day weather wise, it really does feel like Spring.  We managed to cut the lawn and scarify it.

The lawn is more moss than grass so we purchased a scraifier which rakes out the moss.  It will take quite a few months to get it sorted but Paul has always wanted a lovely lawn, so we shall try.

We  went and purchased some seeds and some earth for the greenhouse and we plan on starting those off, when the rain arrives later today.  A very exciting time for me.

I managed to get in the craft room for a while too.  Sorted out quite a few bits for sale

Plus lots of stamp sets too.  If you would like to grab a bargain or two, please pop round this afternoon to have a bit of a rummage and a cuppa, kettle will be on.

The flowers are all starting to come out now that the weather is nice

Just 5 days left for the Stampin' Up! sale a bration.  Dont miss out on getting £61 worth of stampin up goodies for FREE.  Lots of stamp sets, papers and other wonderful goodies are FREE when you place an order of £45.  For the next 5 days, FREE postage on all orders delivered straight to your door when you place an order of £50 or more.  Get in touch if you would like more information.

It is the early bird that catches the worm so I shall get myself showered and ready for another wonderful day.  Thanks for having a read x

Friday

Bank Holiday Friday

Goodmorning I am a very early bird this morning.  So early, the birds are still sleeping.

I am hoping for a day in the garden today but it will all depend on the weather of course. The forecast is for a cloudy day but temperatures of around 14 degrees, which is fine by me

Yesterday we had lots of birthdays but because my hands were not well, (bigshot itus), I couldnt make the cards that I wanted to and so we purchased cards OH MY.  So I am taking advantage of the fact that hands are well and I will get the April and May cards done over the weekend and I am looking forward to it. I have lots of ideas.

Here is the latest bag that I have made.  I followed the pattern exactly and the tutor said it was one of the worst patterns she has ever seen.

It even has lining.  I hope to make a couple more over this weekend, goodness, I am supposed to be having a rest and I think I am going to be busier than ever, opps.

I shall also have a  SUPER SPRING SALE whereby I shall be selling off lots and lots of crafty goodies.  I shall post these in the Derby Crafting Marketplace on facebook so please, do keep nipping in to see if there is anything that you would like to purchase. If you cant access the page, let me know and I will try to sort it out.  Of course, if you are out and about, please feel free to call in for a cuppa and cake.

Off to finish my ironing and take hubby a cuppa in bed, he does deserve it.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful Bank Holiday Friday x

Thursday

My nephew is famous

Good morning and today is the last day at work for a few days.  I am so looking forward to spending some quality time with hubby and getting sorted with a few new projects that we have planned.

Yesterday was a much calmer day and its about time.  I finished work on time and made a start cleaning my wonderful crafting room.  It is having a massive Spring clean (lots of things being sold) and a good freshen up over the Easter period.

The greenhouse staging is all complete, the trays are about ready and I am off to purchase spring onion seeds tomorrow whoop whoop. Of course I will get some other bits too and its all very exciting.

Here is one of the other cards that we made during crafty week

It is using the beautiful blooms set from Stampin' Up! We had lots of colours to choose from and all the cards turned out wonderful.  The card is called a pop out swing card and you can make this to fit any type of image.  If you would like to know a little bit more about the card or the stamps or both, please do feel free to get in touch.

Last night I was at sewing class and I finished another type of bag.  It needs some modifications but the sewing machine will be now be out in my crafty place all over Easter so I can make some more modified bags.....I do love doing them.

Something totally different, my nephew, who is Cypriot and now working in London, is becoming famous lol.  He is such a character, a right cheeky charlie, a lovely rouge type of guy and always has been, even as a toddler.

He is in the trailer with no other than Ed for Bridget Jones new film.  I am not sure if he is in the actual film or not...time will tell.

Well I must hit the shower and get into work, it is going to be a long day today, my first full day for a while.  Thanks for having a read and wishing you a wonderful Thursday.
