Monday

Good morning Monday with Forever Blossoms

Good morning, I do hope you have had a good weekend.  After all the rain on Saturday we thought it would be just as bad yesterday but how lucky were we?  Mr. Weatherman got it wrong and after a wet start to the day, the sun came out and it was lovely in the end.

Saturday was a day in and out of the craft room as it was World Card Making day and I spent my time watching face book lives, links on zoom and catching up with lots of crafty friends.  It was lovely.

I even managed to make a start on the dreaded accounts.  They have to be done so I would rather start them early so that there is no rush at the end of the year.

Last week we had a great time on Zoom trying out a couple of techniques and we made these.

I would be very happy to show you how to do these in the comfort of your own home.  The way we created them was:
  • Using an acrylic block, size E, versamark was put all over it.
  • Using the ink pad, I put ink all around the edges on top of the versamark. (You can also use normal paint and dab it on with a paint brush). Different colours were used as I didnt know which I liked best, perhaps Sahara Sand is my favourite although the Soft Sea Foam is nice but then again that blue is lovely.   I used a brush with water to water down the strength of the ink, spritzed it 4 -6 times and then put it down rather quickly on to my watercolor card.
  • I held it in place for a few minutes and then lifted it straight up.  Any pools of water that were left were dabbed up using kitchen roll.
  • I used my heat gun to make sure that the card was dry.
  • I put the card into my Stamparatus and held it in place with the magnets.
  • I placed the main stamp from Forever Blossoms into the middle of my card, where the colour wasnt quite so intense, closed the lid so that the lid picked up the stamp.
  • Then with  Pear Pizzaz Stampin' Write marker, I went over all the leaves and stems, pressing down the image onto the water colored card.  If the image wasnt so good, I just went over it again.  I did the same thing with the flowers and buds using Rococo Rose Stampin' Write marker.
  • Once I was happy with the image I scribbled some of the green ink from the marker onto a clean acrylic block and added a little water to it so that I could use it to colour in the leaves.  I repeated this with the Rococo Rose marker and the flowers and buds.
  • Once it was all dry it was attached to a Whisper White Base card that had been cut out to stand up as a tent card.

As previously mentioned, I would be very happy to show you how to do this.  Just get in touch and we can arrange the perfect day and time.

I have to have a quick visit to  M&S this morning to return something, we have the window man coming to change some 'blown' doors and windows and then it will be back into the craft room to do some more accounts, some more Christmas cards and prepare for our Zoom get togethers this week.

Thank you for having a read and I do hope you have a wonderful day, whatever you decide to do.  If you need any help at all with anything Stampin' Up!, please do get in touch.

Should you be visiting the craft room this week, could I kindly ask you to wear a face mask please.  We have all seen how the number of cases is on the increase and I would like to do my bit by not adding to those numbers. If you are unable to wear a face mask due to medical reasons, please do let me know and I can meet you in the garden. I do hope you understand, thank you x
